2146. SallyElisabeth : I am the daughter of Elisabeth Anne Brown who had a daughter named Karen in November 1957(she lived in Sutton Surrey) I am not sure of the exact date of birth so have guessed the 14th The father was called John Laycock. The birth was registered in Ealing London.
Karen was adopted officially in July 1958 when her and the father were both 19. Although she was taken from my mother to the new family 2 months after birth. Apparently there were letter written and sent with the baby Karen at the time. I would like to make contact if she is willing to

2155. Kerry2025 : Good Evening‚
I am looking for a man that would be my uncle. His birth sister‚ my mum‚ has always been told he was still born and it has come up in recent days in conversation as I am doing some geneolgy research that may not have been the truth and in fact he is alive and was adopted at birth. He was born in Paddington hospital and believe he was born in 1961. His birth name was Christopher Byrne. His birth mums name was Lillian Reeves (Kirby was her married name either at the time of his birth or just before). Byrne was his dad's surname and who she married a number of years later and his birth dad was named Patrick Byrne‚ an irish man. I have found a birth record for June 1961 Paddington hospital‚ London‚ UK for Christopher Byrne. I have no idea what the date he was born‚ I put the 8th as it needed an answer. There was information that has come to light that he maybe requiring assistance as he maybe in a wheelchair‚ a disabled person and he lives in Kilburn‚ London. I would like to know if this is true and if we can make contact please.
Kind Regards
Kerry Byrne
2156. DavidKong0901 : i'm looking for my birth mother. I was born in 1965‚ January 9th in London. I went to a care home in Broadstairs‚ and was fostered by the Kong family and lived in London. Madge Kong briefly met my birth mother and I was officially adopted when i was 1979.
I believe my birth mother is called Marianne (WAN)‚ and emigrated to Canada in the 70's. I expect Marianne to be in her 80's or 90's. It would be nice to say hello and that I am fine‚ healthy and happy. I am married with two adult sons and live in Surrey and had a good upbringing and career.
2157. Angela_young : Sinead mary rose McMahon
Born 28 July 2010 at st George's hospital in London wanssworth has a sister holly louise machon born 20 April
2158. Fraochnait : My mother‚ Joan Boyd died in 2008. Since she died‚ I began family research because I knew very little about family out with my mum‚ dad and siblings. Family research started to throw some things up about my mothers past. A past that was never talked about.
My mother had a very traumatic and violent child hood not specifically related to the child who she was made to have adopted.
My mother never spoke about it not even to my father. Her sister has told me that my mother fell pregnant before she was 16. She could not determine the exact year but she was very young and she was no older than 16.
Her sister did not remember her being pregnant but in 1993 the year their own mother died‚ my mother told her sister that she was forced to have a baby adopted. She told her that she was sent to London and her baby was adopted out in a 'private clinic' unsure what that means. She told her she had a little boy whom she named Steven. The confession was sparked by not only her mother dying (which my mother hated with a passion) but their brother had‚ had a little boy that year in 1993 which presumedly sparked something in my mother. Her brother named the baby‚ Steven.
It was never ever spoken of again. Since then‚ I have actively kept on researching and some other horror stories have came out involving my mother. Due to so much shock‚ I decided to track down her best mate that she grew up with and was very close to. It turns out her best mate died in 2017 but the man she married in 1969 was still living and knew of my mothers traumatic past (or parts of it) However‚ he specifically knew she had a baby boy. He told me she was 'sent' to London for 2 weeks. There she had the baby and came back home to Ardrossan‚ Ayrshire‚ Scotland within that time frame and was instructed to act like nothing had ever happened.
I now have two people extremely close to my mother telling me the same story‚ I would be a fool to think there was not any truth in it.
From a very young age‚ in fact my half sister who is 13 years older than myself remembers my mother always referring to 'Social Workers' as baby snatchers. She drummed that into us from a very young age but we never knew the reason why.
Could the baby snatchers she had been referring to hold the title at the time of 'A Moral Welfare Officer'? I know this historic occupation was merged into what we now know as the Social Work Department from the 70's.
I don't think I will ever find this lost sibling and it makes me feel so sad‚ I could not have went on had this happened to me the way it did to so many women. I have done my DNA on both Ancestry and 23 and Me. My older half sister has done hers on Ancestry and My Heritage as she is in the process of trying to find out who her biological father was‚ which I am helping her to do.
This is proving a lot more difficult and the lack of information anywhere is clear for me to see. I can't tell you exactly what year my mother had this baby‚ never mind the date or the month. All I know is it had to have been between 1966-1969 and that she was sent to London. My mother was born on 22nd June 1952. She was sent to Borstal‚ Gateside‚ Greenock (the only womens prison in Scotland) in 1969 but again I am still trying to find out what she was sent there for to begin with. I feel so sorry for her and I just wish she would still be here to join in with this search. My mother would never‚ ever had parted with a child if she had been given the choice. I just hope you can help.
Sorry for the essay but without solid information from a birth certificate‚ I thought it best to tell you as much as I know.
