My mother was Patricia Anne Clarke née Gray and her son was named Stuart at birth but renamed Simon by his adopted parents. They sent cards and letters infrequently and he signed them Simon‚ Rachel‚ Harry‚ Tilly and Charlie. Simons adopted mother was Mrs J A Howard -Smith of Chippenham.
