1089. Rachelmcdonald : My mother gave birth in early 1946 at Grace Maternity Hospital in Vancouver. I do not have a birthdate, but the father was a returning navy officer after D Day (May 1945). The pregnancy occurred shortly thereafter. I am guessing anywhere from January to March 1946 for the birthdate. My mother registered at the hospital as Edith Fleming and gave birth to a baby girl. She was unfortunately forced to put the baby up for adoption.
