378. Lyn07 : I’m searching for my father’s birth family. I know he was born in Vancouver and adopted between 1957 and 1960 by the Cranna family in Penticton and grew up in Penticton. I am searching because my father recently passed away, and I have no information about his biological family and would like to know more about health history in the family.
379. Nikandvic : After completing my AncestryDNA, I now suspect my biological mother (who put me up for adoption at a young age) may have actually been adopted into the family she was raised in. Her known parents never lived in the state she was born into, there’s a 14 year age difference to her next oldest sibling, her registered mother would have been in her mid-40s with an older husband, AND my AncestryDNA does not match my mothers siblings. Her registered name was Jackie Lee Benson, and was raised by Edward Benson and Marie (LaTour) Benson. Jackie’s birth year ranges on legal paperwork from 1922 (on 1st marriage cert) to 1927 (on a Social Security doc).
380. DeniseSuzanne : I am looking for my half brother who was born on or around February 14, 1957 or 1958, The birth mother is Railie Renwall, or registered as Raili Peurajoki. She was Finnish/Swedish and the father is possibly Italian. Richard was born at Vancouver General Hospital and adopted at birth. I don’t know if his adoptive family kept his name as Richard.
382. Abby15 : My mom got pregnant by indigenous male from Nanaimo she moved to Powell River before I was born. Delivered by Dr McLeod at Powell River general hospital dec. 15, 1955.

390. CarolynDawnLeckie : I have applied for my adoption records indicating that my birth mother was 17 in 1981 and her name was Hazel Caren Boniface, I have done DNA through Ancestry and have searched her name and have come up with nothing, no birth father was listed on the adoption records. I also know that she was born in Dunfermline Scotland. The adoption took place in New west minster BC through the Royal Columbian Hospital.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
