1576. BobbyBoy1986 : All I know is that they were calling me Bobby at the home I was adopted from‚ that my mom was most likely still very young 15+/-‚ and that she looked like the mother enough so that I called her mom when they came to do a visit. I am quite positive that my father and possibly mother both were from or moved to Saskatchewan shortly after or were from there originally. I was born in MSA hospital in Abbotsford but the home that adopted me out was in Matsqui which is literally across the bridge leaving mission bc
1577. SwampDonkey : Hello‚
I was born May 2 1967 in Armstrong BC and adopted by a young German couple from Vancouver
Well‚ I imagine you’re just as shocked reading this as I was believing I actually finally made this leap to reach out.
I’ve tried to do this a thousand times and always quit for some reason. Was it the right decision to do this? I don’t know‚ I suppose I’ll find out sooner or later either way and I’m ready to accept whatever comes back to me‚ or doesn’t come back to me‚
This just really hit me hard‚ right now.. realizing that I’m typing to the person that gave me life and the realization that there may not be a “ You” or a “ him”’ because simple math. I’m 58 and assuming you were in your teenage years and assuming you lived a healthy life you could be 73 - 80 ‚ but then there’s the chance I waited to long to do this.
Luck is one thing I was never blessed with but here’s hoping I didn’t miss my chance
!
Whatever you think is worth sharing or as much as you want to share. Anything that stands out about my family history‚ my nationality? Health? If you don’t want to pursue this I also understand and if that’s the case I apologize
I am basically looking to learn as much about my lineage as you are willing to share‚ both the good and the bad.
Conversing over email or eventually meeting would entirely be your decision and I would respect your wishes either way.
Hope all is well.
