She was from Summerland in the BC interior and came to Vancouver just before the baby was born at Vancouver General Hospital. We believe the baby was given up right when she was born and was called Allison by her adoptive family. We also think she lived in Vancouver until she moved back east (possibly Ontario) to go to university. We are open for more contact with her.

Recently‚ we were chatting about his family & based on what he told me it became painfully obvious that he most likely may have been adopted. He was born May‚ 1970 & grew up in Vancouver‚ BC & has lived in southern California for many years. Apparently his parents did not freely disclose if he was adopted or not. I guess he never brought it up to them either but from what he told me‚ he looked nothing like anyone in his family. They all had dark hair‚ dark eyes where as he has blond hair‚ blue eyes & fair complexion. Just so you know‚ he's aware that I've started reaching out to see if he's adopted or not.

My mother returned to Calgary after I was born. I met her when I turned 18. It was a private adoption‚ the person who arranged it was named Gwen (last name possibly Nelson)‚ who I've been told has since passed away. She was attending school but worked at Nelson Brothers/BC Packers fishing cannery in Port Edward in the summer of 1968 when I was concieved. My birth father is Brian Soon who also worked at the (same?) cannery in summer 1968. My mother gave me a name and dropped off a pink knitted baby cape which I still have. I was adopted by an amazing Chinese couple and raised with love and integrity. I am thankful and wish to thank my birth mom for making a difficult choice. I also want to know my Japanese heritage. Please help me locate my mom. I did an active search and she had filed a veto for contact in 1970s. I hope that she has changed her mind or her reasons are changed. Please help.

The hoital I was born in burnt down. On the adoption forms Marilyn put down Box 100 Savona B.C. I contacted the band office but didn't recognize my unique story. Which is my father robbed a store and went to jail and that's why I was given up at 2 months old. Thanks
