482. JudyMenard : I am looking for my son Gerald Dean Menard who was born on May 25, 1965.. in New Westminster, BC. I went through the adoption system in which I did not want to do but my parents insisted as I was only 15. All I was allowed to know at that time is that Gerald was adopted to a family in northern Alberta. I now have 3 sons and myself that would love to meet with our son and brother. I am getting older and have always wanted to know how my son is doing in his life. I dearly want to meet my son before I leave this world. I was only allowed to see Gerald for one moment after birth.. he had lots of black hair, and a real beautiful baby. in those days we were not allowed to see our child after birth which took place at St. Mary Hosp. in New West. in which the hosp. is gone now. If anyone can help me find my son I would appreciate it.

484. Nshamley : I was born at grace hospital in November of 1957. I requested medical records from Grace Hospital but apparently they have been destroyed. I was released to my adoptive family 17 days after my birth. They registered my birth on December 2 1957 and it was issued on April 9, 1959. I was named at this tome as Nancy Jean Wemyss. I completed DNA testing and have been in contact with first cousins. These first cousins are under the impression that I am possibly a biological half-sister or full sister! If I am a cousin the biological parents have deceased. If I am a sister biological mother is still alive father unknown. I am told that my possible last name on her original birth certificate may have been under the name of Spiers. Either Dorothy or Ruby. I am aware of the sensitivity surrounding this issue. Biological mother may have reasons to have kept this a secret for 60 years. I understand it is her story to tell and hopefully she will feel she can trust me to complete my story. I am in contact with Aunt/Mother. I’ve also just sent off a request to vital statistics for information and papers surrounding my birth and adoption. I am not sure what else I am entitled or can do to Expediate the information. Thankyou
