A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Tennessee Who Chose To Be Featured
1126. Gmapooh : My mom passed 20 years ago and she looked in the 70’s for her biological family with no luck. She could have been born in another state.
1127. PoppyBear8 : I was born in Nashville TN, on August 15, 1961. I was adopted in Washington County TN at approximately 3 days old. I have a birth mark on the calf of my left leg.
1128. Gmapooh : My mother was adopted by Charles and Minnie Graves (Warren maiden name) . Not sure if she was born in Memphis, TN or Eldorado, AR. I don’t know where the adoption took place. I have read my mother Genyadell Graves was adopted at 3 days old. Charles and Minnie were both chiropractors.
1130. Sss1987 : I am 32. I was born in Memphis Tennessee. I believe I have a older sibling that wasn’t adopted. I am not sure about any other siblings.
1131. Bobonealfloyd63 : I had a son that was taken from me on October 4th 1972. The Dr. was taking babies and selling them. I was only 16 and my mother gave him up and told my sister to not tell me till after she passed. His father and I wanted him and we got married the following year and we are still together. I need to find him but they put me to sleep afterwards for 3 days. This happened at Oak Ridge Hospital in Oak Ridge Tennessee but now is called Methodist Medical.
1132. JulieHoneycutt : birth given name Joshua James Moore (sp) or last name Perry.. born in Washington County TN , Johnson City Tn , adoption papers signed in Jonesboro Tn.. again Washington County Tn.. 10-15-1979 mother from Carter County
1133. Dsyeaton : We looked for decades for a missing cousin. We found his sibling several years ago via cousinconnect and him this year (2019) via DNA, about two weeks before their birth mother our aunt died.
She was born in 1960 and adopted in FL. He was born in 1958, adopted in CA, and lives in UT.
At our aunt’s funeral, neighbors told us that in her last months, she told them she had children. Three or four children. Neighbors have told us that the aunt (born 1936) became pregnant in high school (1950-1955 if this is true) or at age 17 (1953-1954 if this is true) and was sent to FL to have the baby.
We do not know much: mother’s maiden name, if listed: Anderson, birth state of mother: MA, she was very tall and thin, loved animals and dogs, Danish, German, English ethnicity. We have done DNA on ancestrydna and 23andme.
If this is you....or you think it could be you because part of the story matches...please do DNA testing so that we can see if we match!
And we are unsure why there were said to be: three or four children. Could it have been twins, which run in our family? Or is there another child with a different birth year and possible different birth and adoption state? These birth years are only guesses...it conceivably could have been any time after her birth in 1936 as maybe a teen (1949 or before?) to menopause (maybe before 1986?) but most likely in the 1950s or 1960s. Do any of these guesses for you or someone you know? We are a dozen cousins looking for decades!
1134. MichelleWorsham34 : I’m looking for my two oldest blessings. Their names are Leah S. Pinkard and Christian H. Pinkard. My daughter just turned 18 on November the 8th and I have missed them so badly and missed out on so much of their life that I don’t want to waste any more precious time to spend with them. I miss you two so very much. Every year I have a cake and candles and sing happy birthday to you. I pray for you daily. I’m praying that you come home to your family and loved ones awaiting your return
1136. Meekaa96 : Hello I am here sitting with my brother trying to help him find his daughter her mother Jennifer Branam signed her rights over she was born in knoxville TN
1138. Barker77 : I’m searching for 3 half-siblings, 2 half-brothers and 1 half-sister. Jesse Earl Barker, Jr, William Barker, and Patricia Marie Barker. Their mother’s name is Vicki, her maiden name is Sipes. Father is Jesse Barker. Last place I know that they lived was Tennessee.
