658. SueBea23 : I was born in Frayser, Tennessee (now part of Memphis. I was delivered at the home/office/farm of Dr. Bowles on Old Millington Rd in Frayser. My mom (adoptive, but only one I’ve ever known) was friends with Dr. Bowles and his friend, Dr. Evans. Mom was there when I was born and took me immediately home. Robert A. Pearson and Irene G. Pearson were my adoptive parents. They never discussed birth parents with me, as they were my parents. I have I was adopted, tho, as long as I can remember.
After Mom and Pop died in the 80’s, one of my parent’s friends told me somewhere I have 8 siblings. Mom had shown her a picture, somewhere around ’83 of 2 sisters singing in a club in Memphis and told this friend, Kathryn Ritter, these are two of my sisters. I have never been able to locate this picture.
Many years ago I requested my adoptive info from the TN Dept. Of Health.I sent in my "Delayed Birth Certificate", issued in TN, and received a letter in response stating they had NO record any live births on my birthday!
I guess I was hatched, or I was stillborn. Neither option is acceptable to me, tho.
