A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Tennessee Who Chose To Be Featured
631. Janarobison : I know I was born in coffee county Tennessee on March 22,1985. I know my birth mom wanted to name me Misty Dawn. I know my birth mom is Tammy she was young and her parents made her give me up for adoption. Her and her parents were frequent customers at the Burton’s market in Tullahoma TN.
632. Dbet : Our son was 6 days old when he came to us. We lived in Memphis, TN, he was delivered at St Joseph’s Hospital by Dr. Ijams. We believe his mother was about 15, and possibly from West Memphis. Her parents were supportive, but it was best for all concerned that the baby be placed for adoption. Robert Green was the attorney who handled the adoption. We always told our sons (we had previously adopted a son in March 1965) that they were special, chosen, and God given to us. We always told them we would assist in finding birth family if and when they chose. I know it would help my son very much if he could make contact with that family. Please respond if you have information.
634. Tshelton : My mother Donna Marie Presley gave birth to a baby girl sometime around October 1966 in Shelby County in Memphis, TN thru St. Peter’s Home for Unwed Mother’s.
I believe the baby was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis TN. I believe The Catholic Diocese handles the adoption. The infants mother was from Nashville, TN and the father was her boyfriend. The baby is my half sister and I’ve looked for her for over 20 years.
636. Mommyishome : Our mom doesn’t know much at all about her birth family, except that she was born in Memphis, TN and that the nuns were not expecting a new baby. She was told her name at birth was Lisa Marie and her birth mother was young. Her adopted family was able to meet her fairly soon after birth and took her home on father’s day that year. They had adopted her big brother the previous summer as a baby, so she was a gift. They also already had a biological daughter (older). Her adopted surname is Kelley.
637. JanetD0412 : My sister’s name before adoption was Mary Wiberly and was born in a Knoxville, Tennessee hospital on January 17, 1975. Her mother’s name was Mary Patricia Wiberly before marriage and her date of birth is July 31, 1956. Her mother was attending college at the Univ. of Tennessee at the time. My father, Evan Demusz, from Point Pleasant, PA, had to sign the adoption papers because he was the only one of legal age (21) at the time. The affidavit was signed in the DCF office located in Somerset, New Jersey. This is all the information that I have.
