1669. Scrivner : My son was given the name Adam at birth. His hair was red and his eyes were brown. He was loved. He was adopted through Family and Children’s Services in Nashville‚ Tennessee.
1670. Katherinevoiles : I am searching for my great grandfather’s birth family. His name is Charles Oscar Voiles. He was born on October 26‚ 1919‚ and he passed away March 18‚ 1992. I believe his birth last name was "Temple." I have struggled for years trying to find out who his real family was. I am not sure that he was adopted in Tennessee‚ that is just a guess based off of where most of my family lived at the time.
1671. Jonniebell : I’m looking for my maternal grandmother (or aunt(s)/uncle(s)). My mother passed away two years ago‚ but I’ve always been curious about her biological family. My grandmother will always be my gramma and will always be my mom’s mother‚ but I just have to know where I come from. I have only one biological grandparent out of the four‚ so it’s worth a shot at least. The story goes that my gramma was asked to babysit the one year old daughter of a friend‚ coworker‚ or acquaintance (it’s been so long since I’ve heard the story‚ I’ve forgotten exactly how my gramma knew this woman). My gramma’s first and middle name is Mary Charlotte. I am unaware as to what her last name was‚ if it was her maiden name or from her first husband‚ her maiden name is Bell‚ I’m not sure about the husbands name. She was 20 years old and went to school for her graphic design and accounting degrees. So‚ she was asked to babysit the baby and the mother didn’t return. Not for a year. My gramma told her if she didn’t want/couldn’t care for the baby‚ that she would adopt her. The woman agreed and my gramma cared and loved for my mom until her death. This would have happened in or around DeSoto County‚ MS/Shelby County‚ TN in the late 1960s.
1672. Babygirlwatkins : Looking for children of Kathleen Johnson‚ may have used Kathleen Watkins as her name.
1673. JamicaG : Cookeville‚ TN Veronica Cookeville Regional Medical Center
1674. Brittanimcdonald : Emily (White/Hickman/Milligan) is the birth mother Holly Elizabeth Faye Hickman was the last known name of the child
1675. JimmyFutlz : 1.03/13/2006 David JaWayne Fultz 2.03/18/2015 Ameliya Dream Fultz 3.07/14/2007 Darian DaWayne Fultz The cause of abandonment was a un-lawful arrest. there for leaving Parenting (until your mother was back) in my mother’s care was Wrongfully Seized By Hamblen County Shieriffs Department.
1676. Richardpmce : Looking for birth info for male born in Kingsport‚ Tennessee. He was adopted from an orphanage in Knoxville as an infant‚ possibly at three months old.
1677. Helpme0616 : I want to know my family secrets
1678. Taximeow : I suspect my maternal grandmother‚ Stella Ann (Fitzgerald) Greenfield Wells (1897-1978) was adopted by someone she (& her sister Georgia 1893-1953) claimed was their birth father. I have tested for both MtDna & autosomal dna 5 yrs back. Father: Jerry Fitzgerald 1865-1912 buried in SandHill Cemetery in Jackson County‚ Arkansas. adopted parent Mother: Mary Jane Watkins/Mary Hanks abt 1865-1899 in Cottonplant‚ Arkansas‚ but have not found proof of this. biological parent Do not have Stella’s (or Georgia’s) birth certificate either. We’ve tried to order copy of it‚ (Arkansas) with info the girls gave‚ but are told it does not exist. Stella told me (I’m her granddaughter) when I was young and asked what our nationality was‚ that we were Black Dutch. I think Stella and her sister may have been given up for adoption by their mother‚ & she didn’t die when/where Stella had stated‚ & Jerry adopted them. I’m hoping to find a DNA match that will help me connect to a part of my family I’ve never known. Would mean the world to me to find out their family history. Truly‚ I’ve tried to accept that these questions weren’t going to find answers during my lifetime‚ but I’ll never stop searching. If these names are familiar to you‚ please contact me. If we have dna match‚ please‚ please contact me‚ and together maybe we can figure this out. Thanks so much and have a blessed day!
1679. Sfreeman1617 : Hi! I want to help my husband and his family find their brother. I believe he was adopted at a very young age. At birth‚ he was given the name Tyrone E. Golston‚ but it’s possible his name was changed. He was born in Memphis‚ Tn on 8/13/1991. His birth mom is Carol Golston. He has 4 biological siblings that would love to meet him one day. 💜
1680. Elizabethwagner216 : My aunt was given to a school teacher Mrs Brown in Lafore county in Oklahoma after her mom died. Her first name is Goldie. Had to be around 1927 or later. Her mother’s name was Mary Bond who was Chowtah she had a younger brother named Buddy Oliver Johnson. His dad’s name was Green William Johnson.
