441. JohnnyX : I’m hoping to find an active search on my son. I did not know my girlfriend was pregnant when I was deployed to Iraq, and he was already born and placed for adoption when I returned. I felt I was pushed by the agency into signing, though I had neither the resources nor ability to take care of an infant on my own, and I was dealing with issues stemming from the war. I think I have a good lead, and I’m hopeful but I want more than anything else to let him know I love him, and that I never felt I had a choice. Walking away absolutely broke my heart, but I couldn’t take care of him by myself and I knew it.
