A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within South Carolina Who Chose To Be Featured
526. SamanthaDelage : My mother, Gale Mack (at that time) gave birth to a child prior to my birth. She was 14 or 15 at the time she delivered. She delivered somewhere in Charleston, SC in a home for unwed mothers, most likely at Florence Crittenton.
527. Bethraga : My father was Bobby Dean Perry of Spartanburg, SC born on September 16, 1935. He was supposed to have gotten a woman named Margie McSwain of the same area pregnant. The child was a boy. My father left for the military. According to an aunt this boy was adopted by a stepfather with the name of Johnny High. When I was a little girl another aunt was contacted by someone saying that they were interested in finding my father. My aunt also told me this child she had heard went to prison. I am not sure if he really was adopted by that stepfather but I’ve tried everywhere else to find my brother. I actually do not know the birthdate but just but an estimate. It had to be before my dad went to the Korean War so between 1950-1953 I’m guessing.
528. Mouse2009 : My name is Michelle Ann Burnside and I’m looking for my daughter who’s name at the time of adoption was Madyson Sayge Burnside. Her birthday is 7/22/02. She would be 16 years old now..We lived in Charleston S.C.
I’ve never not loved her.. I just want to see if she’s okay, and happy..

534. Melrie3460 : lost contact with 2 sisters‚ adoption possibly took place in the early 1933’s. some family names we’ve figured out are‚ Condon‚ Duffell‚ Myrick‚ Carter‚ Carr‚ Brunson‚ Johnson‚ Riley‚ Warren‚ Gray. Her mom or sisters name was‚ either Jewell or Ruby‚ not sure which was which.
535. Clark1977 : My Mother gave birth in Mecklenburg County, Charlotte NC after staying at the Florence Crittendon Center while pregnant. Unsure of my biological mother’s actual state of residence, my adopted parents are from Columbia, SC.
537. Lilygayle : My brother was put up for adoption when my mother was 16. She was taken to a girls home in Charleston South Carolina. She was not given the choice to keep him because of for her father. She has told me that she was under the name Vicky Carter she was in a girls home for several months until birth. I have desired to find him since I was 18. This was when I was told he was out there. He should be around 47 years old and it makes me wonder, if he was adopted somewhere between Charleston and Columbia or Hilton head South Carolina. My mom said he had dark brown hair brown eyes and was born in the month of February 1971. The parents wrote her a letter shortly after he was adopted and told that he ran a high fever and was sick after birth but was doing good and was safe. myself and my brothers All have blond hair and blue eyes. Would love to find him and make him a part of our lives. I think of him always not sure if he had siblings or if his parents are still alive. He was adopted within a few months of birth. I hope he wonders about his other family as we do about him. 😊thank you.
538. Sweetoct13 : I had a baby girl in Lexington S. Carolina at the Lexington Woman’s Hospital. Adoption was through LDS social services. Her parents flew out to pick her up from California. The Caucasian couple had 3 biological boys and another adopted biracial daughter.
540. Khenegar : My mother’s name was Billie Rae Henegar. From what I know she gave birth to a girl a year to two years after I was born which I was born on 2/15/80. Most of my relatives that are still living do not have much information for me. My mom lived in South Carolina and North Carolina at the time. She was 5’2 long blonde hair and blue eyes. She had high cheek bones and came from a German and Irish background. Her mother’s name was Elizabeth Henegar and her father William Henegar. The father is unknown . Most women in my family have chubby faces and are built heavier up top but have small hips and muscular legs. It’s dominate traits in my family.
