1639. Marytucker1966 : Born in Greenville SC to a lady named Edna Lou Collins ‚ somewhere by Green Avenue in Greenville SC given to a lady named Janie Bell. That’s all I know and raised in Anderson SC
1640. StephanieGiles : I am looking for a birth parent or any family member. Was told birth mother was very young. Dr Peoples of Greer SC or Dr Davis involved in private adoption. Baby possibly delivered at Allen Bennet Hospital in Greer in 1958. Original birth certificate was discarded so I do not know who birth father/mother are. My desire is to simply know this info. I in no way want to interfere or interrupt birth parents lives. I would just like to know where I came from. Who do I look like & know if I have siblings. There was a teller at the Greer Bank downtown that favored me. I was told many things ( possible connection to Greenwood SC‚ possible Converse student‚ possibly birth mom had insurance adoptive father said he went to Allen B Hospital to pay bill for birth mom & it had already been paid for. Now I think he had to know who the birth mom was) was I possibly told so many different things bc I was the baby of my adoptive fathers possible affair. No one in my families seem to know anything or are willing to divulge info. Both adoptive mom & dad are deceased. My birth mom & dad may be deceased. Once around the age of 14 I was approached by a lady that was around 5’4 thin‚ nicely dressed with dark brown hair at a store in Greer called Alta Cunningham in downtown Greer (approximately 1972) she made an attempt to get to know me by telling me she worked with my father at Löwenstein in Lyman SC. She visited several times & on the last visit slipped birth control pills in my hand & left & never returned. My father said he didn’t know the lady. It was so odd ‚ I was stunned but never told anyone about the content of the visits.
If you read this & any of these names‚ towns‚ or dates ring a bell please help me.
One last thing. On Sunday September the 6 th 1958 a Dr Davis a general family physician delivered me to my birth parents home & it was a private adoption. I had not had a bottle yet & they used carnation milk with caro syrup . Was I possibly breast fed for 2 days before adoption in the hospital ?
Thank you
