2127. Jessica927 : I'm looking for my cousin‚ who was adopted at birth. I don't have much info except that it was through a Catholic maternity home. My best guess of the year is between 1964 and 1968‚ but that could be off by a few years. The last name is Speelman‚ and the family was living in NJ at the time‚ but there is a good chance she was sent out of state.
2129. Coraanne27 : Hello‚ my name is Cora and I’m reaching out with hope and respect.
I’m searching for my father’s biological half-sister‚ who was named Amy at birth and placed for adoption many years ago. I understand this may be unexpected‚ and I want to approach this as gently as possible.
My father‚ Joseph Leon Bennett III‚ was born on September 21st‚ 1960. His mother (my grandmother) was Barbara Anne Berry‚ born July 27th‚ 1940. From what we understand‚ she became pregnant with Amy at a young age due to unforseen circumstances and had to make the difficult decision to place her for adoption.
I’ve been told that Amy may have lived in or near Myrtle Beach‚ South Carolina at one point‚ and possibly may have passed‚ but I don’t know for certain‚ which is why I’m reaching out.
If you are Amy‚ or if you might know anything about her‚ please know this message comes with no expectations. This is only a sincere desire to connect‚ learn‚ and understand our family history. We would welcome any information‚ no matter how small.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If this message reaches the wrong person‚ I truly appreciate your kindness in simply reading it.
With care‚
Cora Anne Bennett (Your half-niece)
2130. Beth062 : My Granddaughter was born at Roper Hospital in Charleston SC‚ Mothers name is Jessica Wireman she put her( my Granddaughter ) Fathers name as Thomas ( not true as he was in prison at time of conception) my Son is the Father and we tried our best to stop the adoption. By my Understanding my Granddaughter was adopted by a couple in Pennsylvania . I could never 100% verify this. I know that Jessica went into the hospital and did not have her name on the door or the hospital would not give it to anyone so we went to The hospitals that would allow tubes to be tied in the Charleston area and found Jessica and my Son’s Daughter. My son begged and pleaded for her to allow him and his family to raise her . She refused so I reached out to Jessica’s father who Is a minister and talked with him but he also refused to help in any way. Said the Baby was going to be adopted… this has Absolutely torn me apart knowing that my Oldest Grand child is out there thinking she was given up. Her Father and his parents 100% did everything to try to get her but her adoptive parents were at the hospital already with paperwork signing and the next day my Granddaughter was being taken from the Hospital . I Live her always and forever and will forever have her face etched in my mind.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
