A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within South Carolina Who Chose To Be Featured
1606. Alexandriajone : I was adopted at birth in SC in 1992. I have a few pictures of my birth mother and I am eagerly searching for her. I was always told that she was around age 25 when I was born and potentially had another child previously‚ a boy. I have not been able to find out information about the adoption agency as it was conducted through a religious organization/church and I don’t have access to the previous members of that cohort. One of the pictures I have of her is posted as the profile here.
1607. Pheebbrown1 : I was born at St. Anne’s Hospital in York SC. My adopted parents‚ (Hannah and LJ Rance) adopted me at approx. 18 months of age. Prior‚ I resided at St. Anne’s orphanage for approx. 1 month until 6 weeks of age. Then‚ until my adoption‚ I resided with my adoptive parents as a forster child. At the time of my adoption‚ I had been the sole responsibility of Catholic Charities of Charleston SC. St. Anne Hospital and adjoining Church and Orphanage had a fire and all records were destroyed. However‚ some time later‚ the Church was rebuilt. I have an original baptism certificate from the Church. My name was Anna at baptism. After adoption‚ my name was changed to Phoebe Ann Rance.
1608. KarrieB16 : My name is Karrie. I’m searching for a male child given up through LDS adoptive services. He was born May 1‚ 1987 in Columbia‚ South Carolina. I’m searching for curiosity and love for my son purposes.

I was born on July 10‚ 1957 in Charleston‚ SC at University Medical Hospital. She believed the birth father to be single and of Spanish decent‚ but later found out he was married and "Negro". He had dark wavy hair and an olive colored complexion. He ended their relationship when he was told of the pregnancy. He was thought to be in his late 20’s at the time of my birth.
