I believe my mother‚ Andrewina Cowan married Albert Melrose (born June 24‚ 1931) on December 24‚ 1954‚ in the District of St Giles in Edinburgh‚ Scotland. They subsequently migrated to Australia on February 1‚ 1956. Albert Melrose is not my biological father.
I suspect that my mother‚ Andrewina Cowan and Albert Melrose may have had a child who was placed for adoption sometime between 1952 and 1956‚ either before or shortly after their migration.
