1276. DeniseMoncrieff : Hi my mum was born on the 18 January 1941 apparantly to a Helen MacAdamson. Helen was from St Boswells where she worked in a hotel and met a man from Jordan. He was studying there. My mum sheila was born in Simpson's maternity section of the royal infirmary in Edinburgh‚ Helen apparently went back to St Boswells. Sheila was given to a home in North Fort street leith where she stayed for 11 weeks. The nuns took the children from there to the villagers as it was war time. My nanna and grandad Michael and Davidina Rodgers adopted her on the 17th of September 1941.
1280. Sha56 : Simpson Maternity Memorial Hospital‚ Edinburgh.
Hughie Ferry Gillespie
His mother is Isabella Gillespie
Don't know father.
George Square Edinburgh on his birth certificate
1283. Tono22 : I am searching for the biological parents of my father - Paul Mason. He was born in October 1962 and adopted by Rose Mason. We believe he was no older than one when the adoption took place. They lived in Birmingham but we have no idea where my father was born or any other information unfortunately. Rose sadly passed away in the early 2000's and never shared any information with the family regarding the adoption and there was never any documentation found after her death when the house was cleared. This is all the information we have so I know it's a bit of a long shot but it would mean so much to my Dad and I to trace our biological relatives.
1284. ELH1974 : I am not sure which month or date my brother was born‚ but I do know my mother was 19 at the time and he was given up for adoption immediately after birth

1288. GillianR1971 : I was born in Perth maternity hospital in Scotland‚ my mother’s name was Mary Arvanitakis. She had an affair with an Iraqui man‚ called Abdulla Al Jaburi‚ who she told me about.. he was at scone air base training to be either an engineer or a pilot. I was born in 1971 and left in the hospital. She is dead and I would like to find my father or family.
1289. 10Dec1968 : 10 Dec 1968 - I’m looking for the newborn baby boy who was found abandoned in a phone box at Newdykes Road‚ Prestwick‚ Ayrshire and taken to Seafield Sick Children’s Hospital.
I have very little to go on‚ but he appeared in the Daily Record on 13th December 1968‚ page 9‚ with nurses Mary Thompson and Ann Beecham. He was initially named Robin by staff but this could have potentially been changed.
Any information‚ regardless of its size‚ is greatly valued. Please contact me.
1290. MoragH : I had just turned 17 yrs when I had my baby boy in Redlands Hospital.

I know when you were adopted you had an older brother who had been adopted also.
I have never stopped thinking about you and I hope that you have had a good life and been looked after well.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
