999. Garthland : I am looking for information on my late fathers birth. My father was born on 18th July 1920‚ at Duke Street Hospital Glasgow. He was adopted around 6 weeks old to a Hugh Edgar Wilson and Hannah Wilson in Ardrossan Ayrshire‚ possibly Winton Street? My father was given the adopted fathers name at time of adoption. Apparently the birth mother was a 17 year old office worker from Dennistoun‚ Glasgow. It was never discussed in our family until my father passed away in October 2001. Sadly‚ we never knew his birth name. Are there any records I could pursue to find any details of my father?
