1261. Britgirlirish : Hi there‚ can you help me? I am trying to locate my adopted father’s birth family. He is still alive‚ living in the Philippines but quite unwell‚ with early memory problems‚ so I am trying to trace my biological grandparents identity and any family associated. My father was born in Aberdeen to Irish parents. I was only informed that the parents were Irish very recently. My father has a deteriorating memory‚ but he had mentioned this fact some years ago‚ but had not told me! We do know that his bio mother’s name was Annie Simpson. I believe I have located a birth record that fits the date and location of his birth. This was registered in Kincardine and my father’s middle name on the record was David Barrack Simpson. From what my adopted nan has told me‚ when she was alive is that dad was adopted from Aberdeen through the church ( Church of England) and moved to Wembley‚ London when he was a baby or within 2 yrs of birth. His legal adopted name present day is Neville Cadoux. His adopted wonderful parents who are no longer alive were Oliver and Muriel Cadoux. Their local church‚I’m not sure if this is relevant was the United Reformed Church in Wembley. My recent DNA test from My Heritage has shown that I am 38% Irish‚ 35% Scottish 15% English ethnicity‚ so I’m really keen to unravel the mystery of my paternal grandparents. My Maternal great grandparents were from Glasgow. Natasha Glausiuss

1262. Society10 : I’m looking for Elizabeth Kincaid lived in Torr St Glasgow in 1962. The baby (me) was born at 1010 great western rd Glasgow in a Salvation Army mother and baby house. On 25/5/1962 and named Janet Kincaid. I was told my mother was very young age 15 so if true & still alive she would be 78yrs old.

1263. Mamamoe : My son was born in a Salvation Mother and Baby home in Glasgow on 26/12/1967 and he was given up for adoption roughly 6 weeks later.

1264. AuntMargaret010265 : My nephew Kieth Andrew was Born in Aberdeen Maternity Hospital to parents Roberta Bathgate & Andrew Campbell. Fostered until Adoption 6 weeks thereafter‚ arranged by the then Hospital Almoner. Kieth’s adopted parents lived in Edinburgh.

1265. Gillysbrothersearch : I was born Alexandra Buchanan Walker in June 1970 but was later adopted and my name changed to Gillian Anderson. I am searching for my half brother‚ Robert Buchanan Walker. He was born around 1968/1969. I have had to select a date and year of birth in the search criteria but I don’t actually know these We were both born in the the UK in the West Sussex area. I now understand we also have a younger half brother James Ralph‚ who was brought up by our birth mother who had remarried and is now called Linda Ralph‚ nee Mursell. James is living in the Lincoln area and I understand he is unaware he has half siblings. Robert’s father‚ Ian Alexander William Buchanan Walker‚ moved from Swaziland to Scotland with Robert in around 1971. He remarried and he and his wife formally adopted Robert in Scotland. I have been advised that our birth mother‚ Linda Mavis Walker (nee Mursell)‚ later remarried and is now called Linda Ralph she moved to Lincoln and was still living there around 2014 when I last had any information from an intermediary acting on my behalf. I remained in Swaziland with my adoptive parents for several years‚ but am now in the UK. Linda and I were in contact via an intermediary some years ago but she decided not to continue engaging as she hadn’t told our younger half sibling James Ralph that she had had other children who were both adopted.

1266. CatherineMcCorkell : My sister was born before me‚ she was born in 1967 in Calderbank House

1267. ArgyllLass : Nancy Evaleen MacGregor was born in Oban‚ Argyll‚ Scotland on January 6‚ 1931. Her mother was Marion Mc/MacGregor. Father unknown. Nancy was adopted by persons unknown. Marion had 2 more children who were also adopted an unnamed boy in 1932‚ and an unnamed girl in 1934‚ it is believed. Our family has no idea where they were born nor who adopted them. Marion had 10 children in all‚ my mother being the second eldest of these. Only 2 of Marion’s children are living today in 2025.

1268. Prayer : I’m trying to trace Mark Ramsay born in Falkirk Scotland on 9th March 1970

1269. Feemacle : Cornulius Peter McGinn

1270. Gillloney : Stephen Croal..Our mother was only 15yrs young..... I am your sister Gillian Loney... It’s sad the hurt our mum has.. But our mum had no choice. I hope you’re doing well and I would love to meet you. Mother Susan Croal

1271. Geordie1000 : I was born in Glasgow I think the family name was watts

1272. Foreverlooking : i am searching for my brother who i believe was born sometime in june 1963 or 64 in either scotland or england. He was given up for adoption. The name he was born under was hay-fraser and the name given to him at birth was colin. I do not know the name of the father.

1273. JonathanB85 : My brother Thomas was born 26th August 1984. I myself was born 18th September 1985. Born in Scotland in or around Glasgow. We were in foster care for a while before we were adopted so not entirely sure how long after birth we were given up for adoption. It is my understanding that we were of the same parents. Mother Catherine/ Katherine who was Irish and potentially from a travelling community. Father was possibly named James or Jimmy. I can’t quite remember and lived in the east end of Glasgow. I believe he may have also worked in the mcvities biscuit factory in the east end of Glasgow around the time of our births but cannot be certain. We were adopted at the ages of around 3 and 4 by Thomas (Tam) and Linda. If the very little information ive been given is true then the foster home too was in Bathgate or surrounding town. If any of this sounds remotely like you I’d welcome a chat I’m not sensitive about this and would rather have a potential match turn out not to be the one than miss an opportunity.

1274. Dawn12345 : Looking for desendents of Alexander Dingwall and Johan Sutherland‚ they had a daughter alexandrina 1907‚Alexandrina married John Cowan in 1930 and had 4 sons two with John and two later with Thomas McDonald. Possibly named Irene Kristiansen
