Helena was adopted at birth & I’d be so grateful for any information, I am her half sister, as her Mum later married my Dad. There appear to be no traces of where she was adopted to, nor any agency....so any information would be SO welcomed! 🤞🤞
755. Carolaitkenparris : I don’t know much apart that my mother had a baby boy called Alistair and he was a adopted by a couple from the borders ( one was a doctor).
My mum was 17 at the time ( born in 1928) and the father worked on the shows/fairground, in Glasgow.
His name would have been Alistair Moffat ( my mum’s maiden name), or Ramsay, my granny’s maiden name.
I only found out all this information at a funeral a couple of years ago (of a cousin), my mother died 15 years ago
My mother kept this a secret but my cousins knew about it .
She was very good at that.
