We think we was from around the Greenock area and the father was a man named John Hughes who was married to someone else at the time with 2 children, he was also 24 and we believe he had red hair, just like my mum.
We believe she was an auxiliary nurse and was short at 5"1.
We’ve been told she didn’t necessarily want to give her child up and after the birth went to a convent in England names the Good Shephard’s convent.
