1168. Martineee123 : My biological mother was adopted in Edinburgh‚ Scotland in approx 1944 aged around 2 years old. She never knew her biological mother or father. She has passed away in 2007 but gave me her blessings to search.
My mother Sandra Patricia Grant Waltham ( married name Jones) always used to say she was a ’barnardo child’..I do not know if her name was given to her at time of birth or when she was later adopted.
1169. Susie_mcg : Looking for my dad’s half sister who was adopted. He was born in 1957 and also put up for adoption.
She was registered as Elizabeth Ann Fitzpatrick and was born at a Salvation Army location on Great Western Road in Glasgow. Her birth was registered in the district of Partick.
1170. Stan64OscaR : His mother’s name was Helen Craig‚ daughter of John & Rebecca Craig of Stuart Road‚ Corby‚ Northamptonshire.
Helen was born in Glasgow on 9th. August 1947 and passed away at Barton Seagrave on 13th.September 2013.
I was never told of his existence until about 2 years ago‚ as Helen’s mother Rebecca was raised a Catholic I suspect that Helen’s son may have been handed over to the church.
My reasoning for this that a birth certificate for him can’t be found.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
