736. Jbernstein62 : Looking for my older brother, birth mother was Elizabeth Macdonald (maiden name). Not sure what exact year he was born (between 1949-55) but my mother moved from Scotland before she had my older sister (Fiona) and me. Birth father may have been an American soldier who left to go back to America therefore resulting in my mum giving my brother up for adoption. He was given the name Stephen by my mother, not sure on the spelling, but this may have changed when he was adopted.

744. Joycey : I am searching & Looking for a Helena Low, born on the 16th July 1946 in Westbay Nursing Home, Broughty Ferry, Dundee. Her Mothers name was Eileen Hunter Low. Helena was adopted at birth & I’d be so grateful for any information, I am her half sister, as her Mum later married my Dad. There appear to be no traces of where she was adopted to, nor any agency....so any information would be SO welcomed! 🤞🤞
745. Carolaitkenparris : I don’t know much apart that my mother had a baby boy called Alistair and he was a adopted by a couple from the borders ( one was a doctor).
My mum was 17 at the time ( born in 1928) and the father worked on the shows/fairground, in Glasgow.
His name would have been Alistair Moffat ( my mum’s maiden name), or Ramsay, my granny’s maiden name.
I only found out all this information at a funeral a couple of years ago (of a cousin), my mother died 15 years ago
My mother kept this a secret but my cousins knew about it .
She was very good at that.
My mother lived in maryhill, Glasgow.
747. Rebecca16 : Looking for my mother Alison Elizabeth Murray married surname Stewart but now divorced. from Dundee. Born 1947.
Father is Clive Hagger from London. Born around 1946.
Also I have a half brother with the same mother born 1967 in Dundee.
My birth name was Katrine Murray
748. Rebecca16 : Looking for mother Alison Elizabeth Murray married surname Stewart but now divorced. from Dundee. Born 1947.
Father Clive Hagger from London. Born around 1946.
Also a half brother with the same mother born 1967 in Dundee.
My birth name was Catrine Murray
750. DavidJohn1953 : I was born on 1st November 1953 in Glasgow and was adopted 6 weeks later from St.Gerard’s home. My natural mother’s name is Margaret Catherine McGinty. She lived in Maryhill at the time. I met her once but she slammed the doors on me and wouldn’t tell me who my father was. She did hint that he was an English soldier who may have been based at barracks in Glasgow at the time. She also mentioned Derbyshire or Staffordshire but I don’t know if any of this is true.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
