Rubybella : My Mother Joan Mary Ratcliffe was a ward maid in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary when I was born, which she put as her address, Father is unknown on my birth certificate, she gave me to the Salvation Army in Edinburgh after six months, from there I was privately adopted, I don’t know anything else.

Georgina was my sister. His father was American but I never met him. I do know where he lived. As far as I know he was a person of colour. So David would be mixed race.

When born in 1954 to my aunt Marion Bruce and father James Webster both from Aberdeen Scotland I believe on the 21st of September and named either Ann Elizabeth Bruce or Elizabeth Ann Bruce. Have located a birth for an Ann Elizabeth Bruce born in Aberdeen 1954 and I am waiting for an extract of the birth certificate which I have ordered, wasn’t the correct person :(
