My birth mother is said to have been attending school in Cincinnati‚ but was from Eastern Kentucky and maybe of Irish ancestry. She is believed to have been about 18 years old when I was born in Springfield Township‚ Hamilton County‚ Ohio‚ on October 4‚ 1964. The doctor’s name is G. Habib Nackhla.
I was adopted 2 days later by a family living in Lexington‚ Kentucky‚ through what is now Brooklawn Child & Family Services‚ and/or the Kentucky Baptist Children’s Home. The agency may have been located in Louisville‚ Kentucky.
I am 6’ 1" tall and have always been very thin. My hair is dark brown and my eyes are hazel. My nose is somewhat prominent‚ not huge‚ but has a ’ball’ at the tip. Except for a ’toe-in’ problem at birth‚ my health has always been good and I have above-average intelligence. My skin has always been easy to freckle from the sun eczema and psoriasis have developed as I have aged.
At 57‚ I still have much of my hair‚ with thinning at the crown and moderate bald spots to each side at the front. I always was hairy with bushy eyebrows and long eyelashes. Only my beard shows any gray thus far‚ in splotchy areas with some splotchy blonde patches as well.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
