Shortly thereafter, I was adopted by David R. and Norma J. Thomas, of Fountain City, Indiana.
I’d like to know more about the circumstances of my birth, including any information regarding my biological parents.
As I’ve recently learned, there was no hospital in the county in 1961, so it’s likely I was born at home, delivered by a mid-wife. (How cool is that?)

1026. Boundsee : Looking for grandmothers sibling‚ likely deceased‚ and seeing if any other family members are on here looking for them as well. My grandma was born in 1937 to the Theisz family in Amelia OH. She lived her life as an only child but I matched with someone on Ancestry.com in 2018 that indicates she had to have had a sibling and my match is either the sibling or siblings child. The person on Ancestry has not responded to messages for years. Believe that my my grandma's parents likely had kid while early 1930's when married or even possibly they had twins in 1937 and maybe secretly gave one up? The family was from Newport Kentucky/Cincinnati OH region.
1030. Ldstx1961 : I am a female adoptee, born 11/7/61 in Lexington, KY ... supposedly at St. Josephs hospital. I think My birth mother was 25 years old and stayed in Lexington with her sister to give birth. I believe my birth father was military. I was adopted as an infant by Thomas H. and Ann R. Streeter.
1033. Dominacinereus1252 : The mother was around 13 years old at the time and gave birth on the way back to Florida from Ohio. Name given was possibly Mary Thomas‚ and she was from Florida and may have lived in Rockledge at the time. She mentioned that it was a clinic she gave birth at‚ but I’m looking into other places as well.
I have DNA tests on most all dna testing sites‚ so we would match on them. Please message me because I can’t look through any matches myself. Contact me.
1034. BeStokes : My name is Bethany Stokes(maiden name - Waddell), and I am 35 years old. I was born in Montgomery County Kentucky, and the town was either Hope or Mount Sterling. I do not know the name of the hospital, but the closed adoption was handled by Hope Hill Children’s Home. I was told the staff named me Crystal, for the 2 weeks, I spent with them. My birth mother was around 19, according to my non- identifying paperwork.
