It is likely the father is Mervin D Dowdy, 1889-1965, from the Graves Co / McCracken Co area of KY.
The birth parents later married. There were no other children born from either parent.
Their unknown son, who was put up for adoption, fathered a daughter in 1945 while he was in the Navy in California. This female child was also put up for adoption.
The infant girl’s family has been located but they have no name of the sailor/biological father.
This girl/lady has searched and found her maternal biological family. She also has identified the paternal ancestors. Due to the adoption of their male child in 1923,
they have no idea of his vital records or where he may have resided after leaving California. She would like to find relatives from her father’s possible descendants.
