I was adopted through Catholic Charities of Owensboro approximately 4-6 weeks later
455. Duceswild02 : I was adopted through a catholic agency out of Louisville, KY. My adoptive parents were catholic. I was born on July 1, 1978 I believe. The date could be about or around depending on if it was changed at the time of my adoption. I was not formally adopted until February of 1979. My adoptive family was from Knox County, KY. I cannot give you any info about my mother or my father, but looking for any family that I might have.
456. BevA72 : I have very recently learned that my mother had an child (a boy) some time around 1946 who was put up for adoption as a toddler. Scuttlebutt is that he MAY have been adopted by a dentist in Indiana sometime after 1951.
To my half-brother: It is a long sad story about WHY Mom left you behind and, unfortunately, I know only small pieces of the story But, as my half-brother, please know our mother was an amazing woman and she loved you very much. She looked for you to reclaim you but finally decided to trust to God that you were with a loving family and that it would be unfair to uproot you. You also have four half-siblings!
My DNA sample has been placed on Ancestry.com and on FamilyTreeDNA.com. If my half-brother ever enters his own DNA sample, it will show up that we are a "close family" match. I can then be contracted via either of those websites. I’m throwing this info out to the universe just in case you’re looking for answers. I’m happy to share what I know.
