A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Kentucky Who Chose To Be Featured
571. Rita1201 : I am a sister looking for brother. I know he was born between 1987-1989. Born in KY. Birth name Zachery and changed to Cameron. I believe. Not even sure if he knows he has a sister but I’ve been looking. As well I believe his adopted father passed in the years 2008-2010.
572. BFive04 : My mom was born August 26th 1966 in Louisville KY. I am her daughter searching for any family member of hers. If no message reply on here. Search for me on Facebook. My name is Chelsea K Shelton.
573. BHG1966 : Hi, my mom was born August 26th 1966. In Louisville KY. I am her daughter looking for her birth mom or anyone in her family. If no reply for a message on here search Chelsea K Shelton on FB.
575. Looking4myroots : My adopted mother told me I have 2 older brothers.. my name was going to be Chad..my mother was white and Indian and my father black he was 21 and I think she was 17 in fort Campbell ky..
578. Zabbiegirl78 : Looking for my half brother (related through my dad). My half brother was named Steven David (after our father) and his mother was Debbie or Deborah Mann. I was told that he was given up for adoption around the age of 2 years old‚ possibly to a distant family member. Deborah Mann has a sister named Deanna Mann. I was told that my half brother’s birth date would be around Sept 1976. I think my half brother was born in Utah but could be wrong. I have no other siblings and would love to find you!
580. ErinLianne : I am looking for my biological aunt. My grandmother was forced to give up a child for adoption(closed) and kept it a secret for many years. She was never allowed to speak about it. She always regretted it. My grandmother was very young, 16 or 17 at the time, very strict, religious parents. She was shamed and forced to believe that contacting her daughter would ruin the woman’s life and began to believe it was true. Had to hide the pregnancy and give birth at Home of the Innocents in Louisville, KY. Was always reminded that the child was in a better family and if the woman met my grandmother, would be disappointed. This would have been around 1957-1959. I would love to find this person and just see her, even once. She may not want to know anything but I would love to speak to her. I would love for her to know that she was not unwanted and even if she has a full, happy life, her birth mother loved her and always thought about her. I had a brother that was put up for adoption as an infant. When I discovered this, and he reached out and found us, it changed my life. Although we aren’t as close as I’d like due to us both having families and just being super busy, knowing I have another brother and that he has a great life is a wonderful feeling. It would be amazing to hear anything about my aunt. I understand that many adopted people do not need or want to find their biological family. Selfishly, I feel compelled to find this person. Just to speak to her once would be amazing. Even if you have a wonderful life and family that love you, please know that you have biological family, that without knowing you, think about you and wish you all the best. This is what I know:
1)Birth Mother’s name was Mary Ruth Looney
2)Birth father was likely hispanic, possibly named Luis? That is not a fact, just information I have heard secondhand. He most likely never knew about the pregnancy.
3)The closed adoption was through Home of the Innocents in Louisville, KY
4)My grandmother chose the name Kelly but it is unknown if that was ever on the birth certificate.
5)I do not know the exact birth day/month/year

Haw (now Phelps), who met at Morehead Staate University. I do not know my sister’s name since all documents that I have access to only list her as "Baby Girl Haw" or "Haw."
