1007. Sheeda1015 : His name was changed. All I know is his first name. Which is Daniel. I don’t know his age or birthdate. Our mother name is Deshawn Woodberry‚ she is now Married which has changed to Deshawn Stewart. He should be in his 20s. He is originally from Washington DC but I think his adoption mother moved him to another state. I have very little information on him. I remember my mother telling me that he is a Taurus zodiac sign.
1009. Gaddiefam70 : I’m doing this research for my mom. An obituary in the Washington DC Evening Star dtd May 10‚ 1947 says my mom who was listed as Mary Louise Hill was the loving daughter of Mary Royal who died May 8‚ 1948. My mom said she can recall her biological father David Edwin/Edward Hill used to call her adoptive parents (Gilbert and Bertha Royal) house every week. I asked mom if she can recall when those calls stopped. She said sometime when she was maybe 15 or so. So this would have been approximately the mid 1960s. A cousin in her 90s said Mary Royal and David Hill weren’t married‚ and other fam said Mary “Punch” followed David from somewhere. A recent DNA match has linked my mom to a grand or great grandson of David Hill‚ but I can’t figure out if it’s David Hill born 1911 or his father David Hill born @ 1888 to 1895. My mom would love to know and meet and living biological family she has. Mom’s adoptive parents died when mom was 40 and her only brother also adopted died when mom was 47. I would love to help my mom connect with her family as she is now 78 years old. Thank you. Charlene

1016. Jenni4 : I would love to find a brother who was given up for adoption around 1945. It could possibly have been as early as 1942. My mother was from Heightstown‚ NJ and her name was Gertrude Turetsky. It was probably in Washington‚ DC. I don't know which information is relevant‚ but since I have so little‚ I'm putting it all in. She wanted to name him Stephen.
1017. MeganEleanor12 : My name is Megan Eleanor Hughes. I was adopted by Gerald Kelly Hughes Jr. and Dorothy Ann Hughes- maiden name Mathis.
I was adopted through Catholic Charities in Washington DC
1019. Jessica927 : I'm looking for my cousin‚ who was adopted at birth. I don't have much info except that it was through a Catholic maternity home. My best guess of the year is between 1964 and 1968‚ but that could be off by a few years. The last name is Speelman‚ and the family was living in NJ at the time‚ but there is a good chance she was sent out of state.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
