446. Infinitebrendan : I know very little about the adoption as it was a closed adoption however, I do know that I was born at Walter Reed army Medical center and that my biological mother was young and decided on the adoption late into the pregnancy. I would love to find and reunite with either or both my biological mother and father.
447. Loretaulmer : I am searching for my son who was born on my 20th birthday in 1968. He was born just after midnight at the George Washington University Hospital. I stayed with him at the hospital for a day and then was brought back to the Florence Crittendon Home where I had been staying for the last three months that I was pregnant. He was adopted through the social services agency that was housed within the Crittendon Home. By the time I was able to start searching for him, the Home was sold and I was not able to get in touch with the agency. I do know that he was adopted by a couple who was in the Air Force and that two years later they adopted a little girl. He is now 50 and probably not at all interested in finding his birth mother. But if he has the slightest interest, I would love to connect with him. I have purchased an Ancestry.com DNA kit in the hopes that he may be searching for me as well.
449. Member194429 : From the information my adoptive parents were given, my birth mother was white with blonde hair and blue eyes and around 20 yrs old, my birth father was black and around 24 yrs old. I was born at DC General Hosp and my adoption was handled by Family and Child Services of DC. According to the note that was given to my adoptive parents from my foster mother, my name was Stephanie.
450. RosalinePeeler : I am searching for the daughter of my grandmother Rosaline Peeler. She was 15 when she had the baby at DC General. The baby was premature and after visiting the baby in the hospital a few times Rosaline came one day to find out that her mother had given the baby up for adoption. She gave birth the summer (probably July- August) of 1964 maybe 1965. My grandmother is in the profile picture on the right and is now 70 years old born 4/17/1949. The baby came out with a dark color complexion.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
