376. Dpryan1223 : Born to Black (mixed?) man and Caucasian woman when they were approximately early-to-mid 20’s. Possible: paternal grandmother involved going thru adoption process birth parents worked at same restaurant both college graduates. Adoption handled by D.C. Child and Family Services. Two social workersone for mother (Caucasian employee) another for me (Black employee)due to time of segregation. Spent 8.5 months in foster careappear to be white, but "non-adoptable" due to Black mixture. I do not want to disrupt anyone’s privacy, but am seeking to be contacted by birth parents or family for medical information and general history.
378. RobertBortnick : Seeing I was adopted at birth, I have no information about my Mother. I recently found my Father’s Family, but not my Mother’s. I was born in Washington DC, 5:50pm December 13, 1958. My Father was Clement F. Endres ("CF"), a photographer for the US Navy. He was stationed in Washington DC for about 2 years. Maybe 1958-1960. He lived in Southern California. He passed away January 4, 2015.
Hopefully with this information, I might be able to locate my Mother, and/or her Family.
Please help me if you may know anything. I know it may be a shot in the dark, but if I don’t ask, I’ll never know.
Thanking you in advance,
Bobby :-)
379. Bouvier01 : I would love to meet my birth parents but that I not my priority. I just medical information. I am especially interested in knowing about any additive behaviors. I am an alcoholic.
380. JoelStewart : I am looking for a sister by birth who my mom gave up for adoption in DC.
My mother’s recollection is that it was spring of ’62, she stayed at the Crittenton home, probabaly gave birth at GW Hospital, and she recalls hearing that the adopting parents were involved in music or music education. The baby girl was adopted within days of birth.
Best of luck to everyone!
381. FAWynn : I was named Faith Ann Wynn by my birth mother. Her name is listed as Gena Joy Wynn. I know my adoptive father had sent a registered letter to her after we moved to TN around 1972-1973. Birth certificate states I am the 2nd child my Birth mother had. Adoptive father supposedly talked Birth mother into letting him and his wife adopt me, but no final adoption records have been found. Had name legally changed at 18 to what I thought was my name (raised under different name) because names did not match on birth certificate.
382. Chibicai : I am adopted and hoping to find my birth relatives.
I was born in Cheverly‚ MD (suburb outside Washington‚ D.c.) and was adopted in March 1974 through Pierce Warwick Adoption Agency. I know that I have two older siblings.
My birth mother had her father pass away prior to 1974‚ but her mother was living with her brother. My birth mother has one brother and three sisters. All three sisters were married and had children.
My birth father trained as an auto mechanic in Vietnam (as a civilian) and then worked in Korea for 12 years as a skilled mechanic prior to coming to the US. His father and mother stayed in Korea and were well off. However‚ the father did not take any responsibility for children who left Korea. My birth father has 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
I know that the family was under great stress with the marriage on the verge of divorce. They felt it would be best to put their 3rd child (me) up for adoption.
My birth family tree is MASSIVE. My adoption was closed and I have to petition the court to break my seal (which has previously been denied). I would love to just meet everyone. My adoptive family is wonderful and I am not looking to replace them nor do I have an idealized vision of a fairy tale reunion. I just would like to know.

384. Zabbiegirl78 : Looking for my half brother (related through my dad). My half brother was named Steven David (after our father) and his mother was Debbie or Deborah Mann. I was told that he was given up for adoption around the age of 2 years old‚ possibly to a distant family member. Deborah Mann has a sister named Deanna Mann. I was told that my half brother’s birth date would be around Sept 1976. I think my half brother was born in Utah but could be wrong. I have no other siblings and would love to find you!
386. Syddd : All I know is that our birth last name is Dawkins. My birth mom’s name is Lashawn Renee Dawkins and I have five older siblings. Three of them were adopted and two of them were not. I think one of them is a boy but I don’t know. I know my birth mom lives in DC but I’m not sure about my siblings.
388. Tgannon1423 : My name is Tierney Gannon. I am looking for my half-sister who was born in April 1995. Her parents are Patrick M. Gannon and Abigail L. Haw (now Phelps), who met at Morehead Staate University. I do not know my sister’s name since all documents that I have access to only list her as "Baby Girl Haw" or "Haw."
389. Ray2018 : Hi. In early October, date unknown, ( 4th, 5th, ?), 1967, I had a child I named Paul Ray in Wilmington, Delaware. I was staying at the Florence Crittenton Home for unwed mothers. I don’t know the name of the hospital where my son was delivered. After he was born I kept him in my arms ever second I could until they took him away.
I want to make contact with my child before I die. But only if he wants me to.
I know he was adopted into a family with a daughter (also adopted?), and that both parents were college grads.
That’s all I know.
390. JimL2183 : Birth hospital: Georgetown University hospital in Washington, District of Columbia
Birth mother: Janet Mary Smith
Diane Smith birthname (possibly misspelled as Dianne Smith at time of adoption), no middle name given at birth
Place of adoption: Harrisburg PA
Birth mother spent months before birth at St Anne’s home for unwed mothers in DC
Possibly adopted by a family from Philadelphia
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
