A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within District of Columbia Who Chose To Be Featured
646. Lbarnes : My husband was adopted as a baby from a hospital in Washington, DC. I do not know the hospital’s name. He wasn’t given much information about his birth mother other than she was young, maybe around 16 years when he was born. He was raised by loving parents and family. I still think he would like to know about his birth parents.
649. DRMC : I am searching on behalf of my father. His birth name was Paul William Carmen (sp?) , He was born and adopted in the DC area sometime in 1951.
650. Redrebeckka3 : I’m looking for my biological father. I know he was given up for adoption not sure when just found out who his biological parents were but unfortunately they’ve both past away n they gave him up
651. Blessed6 : I am looking for the biological family of my father Brian Lee Wooley. He was born in Washington DC on August 25, 1967. He was adopted by Tom and Elaine Starkey. He grew up in Virginia. I believe his birth mother’s first name was Janet. He may have had siblings.
652. Darryl_86 : I am looking for my biological parents.I at least know my biological dad was in the Army around 1986 the year I was born but not sure if my biological mother was too.I was born in Virginia close to the Washington,D.C. area.
653. Catfromva : Hello! My sister was born Aug 25 1983. She is years older than me and 2 years older than our middle brother. My mom states she was in a adoption home for unwed mothers. She was exactly 20 years old when she gave birth. She says Annapolis Maryland in an adoption home agency- sent there by her church Thomas Road Baptist Church- she said the home she lived in could house up to 15 girls at a time (not 3 like at "A Mary’s house") and all the girls called her the Jerry Falwell girl because they knew what church she was "shipped from". It has taken me 31 years to pry this information out of our mother, and she has finally gave me BARELY (I’ll take it)
654. LynnTruelove : My sister was born at Columbia Hospital in Washington DC. My mother was sent to St Anne’s Home for unwed mothers at the advice of the priest at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria, VA. This was arranged through Catholic Charities. My mother named her daughter Dottie Marie Flynn. I am unsure if that name actually was listed on the babys birth certificate. My mothers alias was Dorothy Flynn.
655. Holliekonek : I have a brother who is in his 30’s and is somewhere out there. My father who is in heaven , and some woman gave up for adoption many years ago. I do not know anything about him except he was adopted by a couple that one was a ped neuro surgeon and the other an anistoologist at the hospital where they took Reagan after he was shot. This is what my father told me This boy would b my only blood sibling. I do not know the bio mothers name. I wanted to adopt him but they thought I was way to long. I’m 51 now and I think about him everyday. He is somewhere around 30years old. His birth fathers name is William konek. This took place in the dc Virginia area. I had a pic of both adoptive parents but it was burned up in a fire. I woul know the adoptive parents if I saw a picture of them. I know thus is a long shot but I pray one day he will look for me. It was supposed to b an open adoption.
