542. Alfa : Adopted as infant through Homes for black Children in District of Columbia. Bith mom whote or mixed race and was raised in Florida but moved to DC as an adult. AT least 2 biological half siblings, both girls at time of adoption.
544. Dsyeaton : We looked for decades for a missing cousin. We found his sibling several years ago via cousinconnect and him this year (2019) via DNA, about two weeks before their birth mother our aunt died.
She was born in 1960 and adopted in FL. He was born in 1958, adopted in CA, and lives in UT.
At our aunt’s funeral, neighbors told us that in her last months, she told them she had children. Three or four children. Neighbors have told us that the aunt (born 1936) became pregnant in high school (1950-1955 if this is true) or at age 17 (1953-1954 if this is true) and was sent to FL to have the baby.
We do not know much: mother’s maiden name, if listed: Anderson, birth state of mother: MA, she was very tall and thin, loved animals and dogs, Danish, German, English ethnicity. We have done DNA on ancestrydna and 23andme.
If this is you....or you think it could be you because part of the story matches...please do DNA testing so that we can see if we match!
And we are unsure why there were said to be: three or four children. Could it have been twins, which run in our family? Or is there another child with a different birth year and possible different birth and adoption state? These birth years are only guesses...it conceivably could have been any time after her birth in 1936 as maybe a teen (1949 or before?) to menopause (maybe before 1986?) but most likely in the 1950s or 1960s. Do any of these guesses for you or someone you know? We are a dozen cousins looking for decades!
545. Krystal1986 : I was born at Howard university hospital and was given to my foster mother at 5 days old
My birth mother name is Alisha Penn but went by the alias Michelle Dawson which is the name in my birth certificate. No information is known about the birth father whom I am searching for
547. Georgev : Looking for my biological parents‚ not real sure of the details of my adoption. Both of my adopted parents have since past and my adoption was kept from me until later in life. My adopted parents were George Vincent & Patricia Vincent (Fowler). I was adopted in Maryland or Washington DC. My adopted parents lived on Eastern Ave until we moved to Florida when I was 3yo.
549. Rdstuckey : I am looking for my 1st cousin. I was told he was born around April 2, 1980. His name was Paul Anthony Summers born to my aunt Angela Renee Summers in Washington D.C.
552. Sandra101 : I’m just looking to my younger sister adopted at birth. My mother was on drugs and had been raped she had her on my birthday. If they use 23 and me for DNA testing myself and my younger sister are there.
553. MooreKj007 : Not really sure about the birthday but I know for sure the year was “2000”. We have the same dad the mom is deceased. She was adopted by a nurse from the hospital (is what I’ve been told) and moved to Florida
555. Fourg : Searching for birth mother or father. I was born in Washington DC (George Washington Hospital I think) on January 22, 1971 to a teenage mother with red hair and blue eyes and a birth father who was in college brown hair brown eyes. I was adopted a month later at the Massey Building in Fairfax, Virginia.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
