A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within District of Columbia Who Chose To Be Featured
526. Cheyennecotter : My name is Cheyenne and I am looking for my mother’s birth family. She was born in and adopted through St Ann’s orphanage in D.C I believe.
528. JeanneIsacson : I was born in Washington, DC. on June 7th, 1959. My adoptive parents, Ralph & Mary Isacson lived in Alexandria VA at the time of my adoption in April of 1960. The name on my birth certificate is Jeanne Isacson. Both of my adoptive parents are now deceased. I would love to find my biological mother to thank her for being brave enough to give me up for adoption - I’m sure it was not an easy decision. I couldn’t have asked for a better set of parents!
529. ComlyWhite2019 : My father was taken away and adopted back in 1942. For many years he knew very little about his biological family. He knew his father’s last name was White and he was taken away from his mother, because his biological father was never home or supporting him and his siblings.
In the late 90’s his biological niece found him and showed us some of the family including her father which was adopted as well. As well as his mother Nellie E. Poush White, his half siblings, Beverly, Bill, and Jerry and his biological father Denver Thomas White.
When I had the opportunity to talk to Denver, I asked him how many aunts and uncles I have. His answer was he was a truck driver that drove from coast o coast and he had a warm bed and cuddle buddy at every stop.
So I am looking for my biological family that are the children or grandchildren of Denver Thomas White.
If that names sounds like someone you know please, please contact me!

My mother indicated she was 23 and of Polish and Lithuanian heritage. My father was studying at GW for an advanced degree.

Dunlap they had already adopted son a little older than my mom as well). She is deceased, and her adopted parents have also passed. Her DOB was 6/21/60 and I believe she was adopted fairly quick after birth. I’m hoping to find some family members as my father also has a limited family tree.
537. Mhstoker63 : Dr Martin Stoker and wife Barbara are the parents who adopted me. Birth mother’s name is Pamela Swedner, I think. She was around 19 years old and a nanny for Dr Charlie Smith during her pregnancy. My biological father’s name is Joseph Harvey and was a football player in college.
