The child (a daughter) was born in Long Beach. She believes that she was born baby girl Beaumont and that her mother was born in the mid 1950’s. She also believes her father was Navy. Both the adoptee and myself have done DNA testing for this search (we are related as well). 670. Boncurrie : Finding my sister has been a lifelong dream. I have very little information and have not been able to verify the few things that I was told as a young child.
671. Sky2004 : I’m the mother to the adopted child’s half sister and I’m trying to help her locate her half brother. They obviously have the same father.
The adopted boy, Mason, was adopted shortly after his mother gave birth. She didn’t want a reminder of her affair with my husband (ex husband now). She told me she was giving Mason to her cousins whom lived outside of Illinois (where we all live) in a different state. I don’t remember the state she told me tho because that was 12-13 years ago.
I think my daughter deserves to know her one and only step sibling. And she wants to know him, too!
When college time comes along for both of them, I don’t want them to meet and fall in love and end up finding out too late that they are siblings. Mason’s mother, Mandy, shouldn’t want that either.
I think Mandy is afraid that if I find Mason, I will tell him about his real dad and what a narcissist he is and that Mandy doesn’t want her son to ever meet his birth father.
672. RhondaBruce : I had my son in dc at dc general hospital in 1991 October he would be 30 years old the agency name was Lutheran social services located in N.W Washington DC

674. JanelHickmon : I was born at Columbia Hospital for Woman in Washington, DC. My biological mother was attending the Crittenden Home for Unwed mothers which is also in Washington, DC. I was adopted at 3 month old.
675. LisaRojas : Hello,
My name is Lisa Rojas (Maiden name Branigin).
I was born in Washington D.C. on June 30, 1957 my birth name was Elizabeth Branigin and I was adopted shortly after I was born.
I contacted the adoption agency, who has limited information because it was a sealed and closed adoption. We petitioned the court and had the seal broken but they will not provide us with detailed information since they cannot find or determine that the birth mother is alive. I was given a letter that was submitted by my birth mother back in 1957 from the adoption records.
From that redacted letter I know that my birthmother was born in Kent England on June 21, 1938. She was around 5’6 with blue eyes and light brown hair. She had a brother John born around 1935 or 1936 with dark hair brown eyes and apparently joined the royal air force later in life. She also had a sister named Linda born around 1943 with dark hair and blue eyes.
I know that my birthmother got a job with an American family working as a live in nanny. The family had multiple children and she traveled with them from England to America.
They arrived in America in the area of Falls Church Virginia on October 3, 1955 a few weeks later then moved to the Washington D.C. area.
Presumably met my birth father in 1956, then placed me for adoption in year 1957. The adoption agency said they tried to find the birth mother on records here in America, but since none were found they are assuming that she left back to England shortly thereafter.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
