391. RitaAnn1951 : My aunt, Laura Virginia Briggs gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with red hair, around May or June, 1948-49. Laura was 32 years old at the time, and unmarried. She was living in California when she became pregnant. She lived with my parents, Edith Ellen and Robert Stanley Rollins in Washington DC, at the end of her pregnancy and delivery. The baby girl was most likely born, and given up for adoption in Washington DC, or the surrounding area. The baby was given up for adoption either immediately after birth, or shortly after. My Aunt has since passed, and she was never able to have any other children. I have been searching for her daughter for several years, I would like to be in contact with her to let her know she has family who loves her, and would like to find her.
392. RitaAnn1951 : My aunt, Laura Virginia Briggs, nickname was L.V., gave a daughter up for adoption in1948-49. The months probably born were May or June. My aunt lived in California at the time she became pregnant. She came to live with her sister, my mother, Edith Ellen Rollins, and my father, Robert Stanley Rollins. They were living in Washington DC at this time. Laura was approx. 32 years old, and was unmarried. She probably delivered the baby, who was a girl, with red hair. in or around the Washington Dc area. The adoption probably took place in Washington DC, Maryland, or any nearby states. The baby was given up for adoption shortly after birth, or possibly immediately after her birth. My Aunt has since passed away. She was never able to have any other children. I would like to find her daughter, to let her know that she has family who has been trying to find her, and loves her.
395. DJGT1957 : In 1961‚ a baby boy was born most likely at Sibley Hospital or maybe another (Providence?). The doctor who handled everything‚ including the adoption was Dr. William Robert Perkins. The father is unknown - the birth mother was divorced at the time of conception. Her names was Arlene Ann Birch Guthrie (later remarried to become a DeVaughn). The birth mother was born in 1942 I was born in 1957 and the adopted child sometime in 1961 (to the best of our knowledge). As a child‚ I had brown hair‚ brown eyes. Mother had brown hair‚ blue eyes. Please note: I never knew about this sibling until recently. Would be great to know what happened with him and praying his life was good. Birth mother would have been about 19 at the time. Hey‚ brother‚ let me know you are there!
397. DebKeeffe : I was born January 9,1963, at Holly Cross in Silver Spring, Maryland. My birth mother was 16 and unmarried. I am Caucasian and was raised Catholic,though,based upon genetic testing, I am 97% awkanasi Jewish. The adoption was arranged privately my adoptive parents are Jeanne and Miles Letts.
