197. Elizabeth1207 : Hi, I am looking for my sister who was born in County Cavan, Ireland in August 1957. My mums name is Lucy Reilly who was also from County Cavan, Ireland.
On my sisters original birth certificate her name was Mary Brigid. I believe that she was adopted by an american couple and taken to America, but I don’t know how true this is because of the secrecy that surrounded adoptions in Ireland in the 1950’s.
198. Oldsailor1 : I was adopted at six months of age from somewhere in Washington DC. I am Blond with blue eyes 5’8". This may tell someone where I came form.
201. Carjones : My Mom was in an orphnige at16 pregnant, met with my parents through Dept of Social Services .My Dad was a domestic worker ,I don’t know of his age .I was in foster care for couple mths after my birth then my new parents got me. I don’t know any more information.I have 3grown children and 9grandchildren,for health reasons of my grands ,I need to know my biological family.Thankyou
202. Nmg1966 : I believe he may have been born in Washington DC at DC General Hospital. His mother’s name was Nellie Florence Greene. He then was placed in foster care, from there he was placed in an orphanage in Maryland, possibly St. Anne or Mary not sure of name, then he was possibly adopted. I’m not sure of the time sequence these occurred. I am his middle biological sister, there is an older half sister located in Atlanta and a host of other relatives located in the DMV that I’ve located. I have struggled with attempts to find him secondary to retaining legal representation.
203. DC2AR : Born in Georgetown University Hospital, attendant physician D J Albers, MD of Washington, DC. Birth mother’s maiden name is Harrison. Adoption through Catholic Charities, finalized in February 1955.
204. Amiz7 : Howard University Hospital. Closed adoption and my biological name was Deon or Deion or Dion, or something of that sort (not sure how it was spelled). It is not my name now though.
205. AdirondackLady : I am seeking a female adoptee born in Houston‚ Texas‚ on or around September 30th‚ 1974 or 1975 or 1976 (we are assured the birthday is 1975 but some claims have been made about birth certificates being tampered with). She was given up to Catholic Charities. Is any of this a potential match please feel free to contact. Maternal family are wishing to reconnect. DNA will be up on Ancestry of a sibling.
209. Angieb68 : I am looking for my birth sister. She was born June 1971. ( not sure of the day in June) She was adopted through Pierce Warrick Adoption Services in Washington DC, soon after birth. Last name on birth certificate maybe Custer or Patyas. Mom’s name Rosemary
210. Geminimixx : I am a 45 year old Nigerian and Scandinavian female named Kristina, though my birth mom wanted my name to be Natalie. My adoptive parents adopted me in DC on July 5th 1972, then took me to Baltimore where I grew up. I am mixed race and supposedly my mother was just a teenager when she had me. My adoption agent was Mrs. Karavasio. The agency was Catholic Charities. I am struggling as my adoptive father, who was my life, died in 2009. A few years after that my adoptive mother decided she really didn’t want anything to do with me. So I am alone with no one.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
