1081. Lindy151 : I was in 2 or more foster families‚ one of which had adopted me or planned to‚ but the mother died? So back into the system I went. Finally‚ short of my third birthday‚ the Phenneger’s became my mom and dad. I’m only now becoming curious as I get older.
1082. Elainebbogue : My daughter was born in the Backus Hospital in Norwich‚ CT. My name was Millicent Fratus at that time. She has 3 brothers and a sister who would love to meet her.
1083. Candicane : I was adopted from Woodfield Children’s Village.
1084. U263934 : My father was born Sept. 28, 1950 in Austin, TX. He was white and his parents were white. There was the name of Albert Alsenz listed as his father but I think that might not be true. I am almost positive the mother was Alice Marie Lane Alsenz. Albert was born in 1911 in Brooklyn, NY and Alice in 1927 in Shandaken, NY. Both parents stated they had other children from other relationships either already adopted out or in foster care waiting for papers to be signed so they can be adopted. The only indication of where these children are is the mother said she had a child in foster care ’up east’ with the parents wanting to adopt the child which may have been a boy. The Alsenz’s lived in Austin, TX in 1950-1952 and in Kansas in 1956. The Kansas census has a Donald and a Jack Alsenz listed as being with them. I don’t think these were Alice’s children. I think they were the children of Albert and a Ruth Kniffen Alsenz Hartman Olsen now buried in New Orleans, and they were visiting with Albert and Alice, with Ruth being the person in charge of them. I do know that my biological mother had more children after me and one of her children’s name is Kesha. I have no other information other than my sister’s name.

I cannot find any birth records for the prison. There is no one alive on my mothers side who can tell us the biological mothers name. Her fathers name might always remain a mystery‚ but there is always hope. The adoption was facilitated through Catholic Charities of New York. My Mom was adopted by a couple who lived in Kings Park‚ NY. She grew up there‚ and there was extended family in Utica‚ NY. I make this search to see if there are related family members still alive in the hope we could discover what our mothers biological mother was like and to obtain family health information. Thank you.
