A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Connecticut Who Chose To Be Featured
991. Rwelch19 : My father had to give up a baby he had when he was about 16 for adoption. At the time he lived in Branford, CT and name was Kenneth. Although my mother told me, she believes the baby was given up for adoption through a catholic adoption, perhaps through church and not sure names would be listed of her birth parents. He was born in 1958 so I assume it happened in about 1974. I do not know the real birth date so the birth date month and day are not correct, I only filled them in as you needed something there to complete the filing. I know that it was a girl and I just wanted to see if I could find her.
992. Tinabeth : I am searching for my bio father. He was known as Jamey or Jamie Weis or Weiss. My mother was Nancy Bergemann Harris. I was born in New Milford CT in 1964. I have found my mother’s side of the family. My mother is deceased.
993. Taraty : I gave birth to a baby boy January 9 or the 11 in 1992-1993 at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport ct. I was a 14-15yr old and i think the Dr who delivered him was Dr lamastra from Fairfield Connecticut and the place that he was placed up for adoption was Jewett Catholic Family services in Bridgeport Connecticut.

996. Tabitha0911 : My dad Monroe was stationed in San Diego California with the US Marines in either 1973-1975 (?). He had claimed that he met a woman while in the marines‚ who became pregnant with his child. The only name that was ever mentioned was Jacqueline “Jackie”. My grandmother Ola had a picture of this little girl it was black and white‚ and on the bottom it said Jacqueline “Jackie” Morris. I cannot remember for sure but she was around the age of 2 or 3 with dark hair‚ & I believe had a dress on with a crochet shawl on‚ if I remember correctly. My dad was from southern Illinois at the time of his entry‚ although born in Caruthersville‚ MO. He enlisted into the Marine Corps at 17-18yrs of age. My dad has passed and I have no further information. I’ve included his Marine photo and hope that this may trigger a response.

I truly hope you see this...

1003. Maryloucartier : Carol Ruth Washington (middle name after her aunt) was born April 19‚ 1959 in Torrington‚ CT. I believe she was born in the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Apparently‚ her unwed mother already had a girl (I believe Marianne) and a boy named (David.)
When Carol was 9 days old‚ she was the first baby presented to my mom under foster care. Carol was loved as a daughter and sister for 4-1/2 years! November 8‚ 1963‚ Mrs Braverman‚ social worker CT Dept of Child Welfare‚ Hamden‚ CT‚ picked up Carol while we were in school. Do you understand what it is like to return to your home and your sister is gone?? Carol was so upset being with her adopting parents that she was admitted in a hospital! My mom asked if we could take her back and was told that Carol would be institutionalized! How cruel and uncaring! I broke down crying myself to sleep for quite a while and my heart still aches all these years. I pray and wish her a Happy Birthday every year and also pray every year the date she was taken. She was and still is my little buddy! Please‚ please find her before it is too late and tell her we tried to adopt her and still love her. The state had two families wanting to adopt Carol instead of being able to find another child a home with the couple. What steps can I take to find her?
1004. GB203 : Hi members! I really need your help. Ok the situation is this. My husband mom came to visit a long time ago and spilled some information to me about a son she gave up for adoption at birth when she was 16 years old. All I know is the place of birth was in a monastery near West Hartford CT. I think it had to of been an open adoption because she claims she talks to him to this day but refuses to give us his date of birth nor chance to meet him. She claims he was adopted by a nice Italian family in New Haven CT Area (which is very close to us) & he should be around 58 years old or so. The Mom’s name was Doris Dinah Martinez at the time of birth. Her sister’s name is Ada Nelly Feliciano and they have a brother Jose too. Her name now is Dinah Doris Bruno and she currently lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband Robert (Bob) Appelbaum. She also gave birth to three other kids who go by Jason Appel, John Joseph Bruno ii, and Lisa Rose Bruno. Dinah was a hair dresser at one time but later went onto to do real estate near Milford CT and retail sales for Sax fifth Avenue in west palm beach Florida. I have no exact date of birth but I know he was given up at birth in 1968 or 1967.
Now, this dinah isn’t always the most reliable truthful person so I can never trust all she says but that’s the info she gave me so far as I look. She claims she still speaks to him and he is very happy. I’ve asked tor his birthdate and she refused to give it to me. She said she would give it to her kids but won’t do that either. She’s very selfish. I want to reconnect my husband with his half brother. Please let me know if you may be him or how to reach him.
