Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you
can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth
to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each
other on Adopted.com!
In Queensland, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to access identifying information from the
government, unless a veto preventing access has been submitted.
A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Queensland Who Chose To Be Featured
601. EWinzar : I am seeking any family members of my father who was named Douglas at birth (Jan 26‚ 1965) in Brisbane Qld‚ adopted around 4 weeks later and he was renamed Gregory. I sighted the original birth certificate sometime in my teens and vaguely recall a young birth mother (possibly Elizabeth?) with no birth father listed.
604. Nikki1972 : I was born in the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Birth mother’s name was Gay Narelle Drennan and I believe she was around 16 when she had me.
610. Kbrow12 : Looking for a son born to Marilyn Anne Ellsworth and Cliff Lipke birthed at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital‚ adopted by a “Christian family”.
612. Sarahperry2435 : Born May 1967 and was adopted by a lovely couple. One was in the raff and the other was a nurse. Blonde baby with blue green eyes. Some say the biological father was a mathematician. I don’t think the biological parents were married and this is why the he was put up for adoption.
613. MissBoots80 : My grandfather Keith William Bootle (born 31 Aug 1928 in QLD) conceived a child with his girlfriend Cynthia (surname unknown) when he was 14-15 years old. Sadly his girlfriend’s family sent her away when she was pregnant‚ and the baby was put up for adoption.
I was only told this revelation recently‚ and my father only knew of a brother‚ not a half sister.
We would dearly love to get in touch with my aunt‚ as my grandfather has now passed away‚ as has my grandmother‚ hence the ’secret’ coming out.
I have all the identification needed to apply‚ so please advise the best process for doing this.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards‚
Tonia Barton
614. KarenJane1965 : My daughter is on ansastary she has managed to find some DNA matches from her maternal side obviously my side not sure if it’s my maternal or paternal. All family members are in NZ and only been able to find third cousins ECT appoints a huge family and she’s come to a stand still
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
