Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you
can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth
to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each
other on Adopted.com!
In Queensland, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to access identifying information from the
government, unless a veto preventing access has been submitted.

437. ZombieSandwich : Looking for Birth Parents and/or half siblings.
I was born on 29th July 1983 in Maryborough hospital, QLD (at around 2.20 in the morning I think). I am female and was put up for adoption by my birth parents who were 17 and 18 years of age at the time. I went to a foster home for 3 months before being placed with my adoptive parents, The Williams family - Mum, Dad and my new brother. They called me Natalie. I had blonde hair when I was born and blue eyes, I now have darker hair, but still have the blue eyes! I know very little about my birth parents however I know there was some bronchitis in the family history. Just interested to see how life has gone for you all and would like to share my experiences with you. I understand if this would be out of the question, but you never know till you try. I’m open to the idea of communication.
438. Vegacaz : My name is Caroline. I’m desperately trying to find my half brother. My mum had to sadly give him up for adoption.
He was born at Mater Hospital in Brisbane, Australia on 6th Feb and I believe the year could of been 1968. He was named Darren at birth but not sure if my mums maiden name , Lees, was written down too. He was apparently 4 days old when he removed from my mums arms. She has never seen him since!!!
440. Xandee : Brisbane hospital
Found birth mother - Colleen
Looking for birth father - Ronold believe last known location is Sydney area‚ originally from Lismore.
441. Johne1949 : Mothers Name- Joan Robinson Wilson
Resided in a Roman Catholic facility in Brisbane for the later part of her pregnancy in 1941-1943.
My mother Joan Robinson Wilson was a member of the Women’s
Royal Australian Airforce when she became pregnant and was discharged from the Australian Air Force.
Service Number 100730
She said that she named the baby Michael
444. Tamieka89 : This is a long shot but here’s to trying.
I am trying to find my biological grandmother who gave my mum up for adoption in 1963. My mum has no interest in finding her but for me it’s a void in the family and medical history (I’m a nurse, so can’t switch that thought process off). If I manage to find information about my biological grandfather - then that is a bonus.
I know my mother’s biological father was Maltese and she has half sisters older than her, that found her and were corresponding with her in the mid 90s, but lost contact after we moved away from Brisbane in 98.
Her name is Coral Rosa Laing (nee Puckering) DOB 09-09-1944. She married Clyde Edward Laing who was an accountant and lived in Mackay (13 Tait St) in 1968, Sarina (Beagrie St) 1977 and Childers 1980 and 1991 for PO Box 1 Isis Central Mill.
She named my mother Helen Maree at birth and her adopted parents renamed her Donna Maree. I have seen a letter that my mother kept stating Coral tried to find her in 81, 82, 83, 86, 87, 89, 90 and 91. I remember it was briefly mentioned in the late 90s before we moved from Brisbane that she was living around Hervey Bay.
445. Graeme77 : I am looking for my grandmothers birth mother and or father. She was born in Brisbane‚ Queensland on 11th June 1892. Her mother died in childbirth and she was adopted by the Gollan family from Grafton
446. Rachiemac74 : Born in Cunnamulla but I was flown to Toowoomba base hospital as I was unwell at birth. I spent 3 months in hospital before I was adopted by a family from Brisbane on the 28th June 1974.
I do have identifying information on my parents. I know how old they were and my mother was possibly from Victoria.
447. Chriso73 : I was adopted from Pindari or Alamanda private hospital on the Gold Coast in 1973. My birth mother’s name I believe was Vicki Elaine Smith. Don’t know if this is her real name and don’t know anything about my father.
448. LeeMarvin : My grandmother was adopted at birth by the Gollans of Grafton NSW and her mother died in childbirth. It is the mother and father name that I am wanting to know.
449. Simward : I was born in Brisbane Queensland Australia on the 17 January 1943. My mothers name is
Jean Elizabeth Seeley and I was named at birth David Roy Selley which was later changed to
Anthony Peters. My fathers name I do not know as of now but i would like to find out.
450. Simward : I believe I was born on 17 January 1943. One thought I had was that my father could have been an American service person or an Australian Serviceman. My mother may not nesssary have com from Brisbane.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
