Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you
can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth
to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each
other on Adopted.com!
In Queensland, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to access identifying information from the
government, unless a veto preventing access has been submitted.
A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Queensland Who Chose To Be Featured
556. ClarissaJCryan : My name is Clarissa Cryan (36)‚ I am the granddaughter of Karen Cryan nee Wright (75) who is the daughter of Gloria Leonard. Gloria Leonard was born on 2 September 1928 in Rockhampton‚ Queensland and we are unsure if her parents are her parents‚ we believe she was adopted. My grandmother‚ Karen is very eager to know who her grandparents were as she and her siblings are aware that their grandparents (who raised Gloria) are not their biological grandparents.
557. Elguero50 : Mother was from New Zealand‚ her name‚ Alison Clare Smith‚ apparently his dad was American .
His mom gave birth to him in Brisbane Australia at the Royal Hospital‚ she named him Daniel Mathew Smith.
He was not adopted immediately as he was born with a bended foot and many couples saw him but adoption took place after several attempts.
His adoptive parents were Ronald Willis and a Shirley Willis (Collins) and they named him Bruce Michael Willis.
561. ChrissaJM : I would dearly love to know of my birth father. He is believed to have been in the Australian Army and spent time in Townsville. This is where my mother is from and where they likely met. My mother was 19 years old and studying to be a nurse at the time of my conception in 1974.
565. JosephHutchinson : I am looking for my birth mother. I was born on the 2/12/1968 in Brisbane at Boothville Windsor‚ then moved to Warilda House‚ Wooloowin. I believe my name at the time of birth was Joseph Hutchison so I guess my birth mother’s surname at that time was Hutchison. My name now is Andrew James Brittain.
I was told by my non biological mum that at the time an effort was made to find parents of a similar background. She was told that my biological mother was a small petite woman with dark hair and was an office worker in Brisbane. Plus my biological father was a young blond Caucasian man with blue eyes and worked as a cabinet maker.
I also know I had a difficult birth and at one stage needed to be resuscitated with oxygen‚ as a result I had to stay at the hospital for 3
months before being adopted out‚ and for the first 12 months I was Fostered out to my parents until everyone was certain I was OK and not badly damaged by the difficult birth‚ mum told me I was a "Blue Baby" I suppose meaning I wasn’t breathing properly.
That’s all I know but it’s quiet a lot compared to other adoptee’s I know‚ hope to find you mum no. one!

569. Harrypugh007 : my mother Wilga Mary McCarthy gave birth to me at womens general Brisbane on 24/7/1957.i was adopted out at birth‚ I am trying to find my brother who was adopted at birth also .
