Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you
can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth
to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each
other on Adopted.com!
In Queensland, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to access identifying information from the
government, unless a veto preventing access has been submitted.
A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Queensland Who Chose To Be Featured
346. Lorraine5473 : The only information I have the child was born on the 1/3/1940 in Queensland maybe in one of the hospitals in the Brisbane area. When our Dad passed away some years ago in his old personal papers there was a letter from his Solicitor stating that they still had in their possession A Full Certified Birth Certificate in their possession dated as above.
348. Whiskers30 : I have been researching my Family Tree since 1994. The adopted person was adopted by one of my Ancestors (Albert John Lubke).
I met the lady in question quite a few times as Annie Heck. I also found that she had signed the Death Certificate of Albert John as a witness and the adopted daughter of the deceased in 1951. My Ancestor who adopted her was born on 22/07/1868 and died on 21/07/1951.
I would like to know when the adoption occurred and any other information which I might be able to use in the Family Tree.
Regards
John Lubke

357. Kathleen_Holly_Jan : I am Janice Ryan I am 81 and I was adopted at 5 years old and sent to an orphanage. I can’t remember the name of the orphanage or where it was. But when I left and got married I changed my name from Janice Buckly to Janice Ryan. All I ask if for maybe something of someone whom may be still alive from the orphanage I was at. I know this isn’t much to go off and may be difficult. But any results would be appreciated.

359. Jaythomo : Hi my name is Justin. I am trying to locate my biological father. I was born on the 8th January 1971 in Sarina QLD under the name Simon Phillips. My biological mothers name was Annette (Ann) Bailey and I’ve been told my fathers name was Herbert Leonard Anderson. My biological mother contacted me back in 1990, but I’ve not been able to locate or find my biological father. He was originally from the UK and spent some time in New Zealand. He has been associated with an interest in Yachts, so I’ve tried some boat clubs also. At the time of my birth I was told he was in his mid 30’s. So he would be quite old now. I also believe he may have been married some 20 plus years ago to a lady named Carol. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
