Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you
can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth
to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each
other on Adopted.com!
In Queensland, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to access identifying information from the
government, unless a veto preventing access has been submitted.
A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Queensland Who Chose To Be Featured
526. LooksLikeMe2 : I have been longing ever since as a 10 year old child I was told I was adopted to find someone that wasn’t a child of mine that people would say "Oh you look like..." I have no preconceived idea of what the future holds. I am an independent grown woman that has a good understanding of emotional intelligence as well as being intelligent and although for most of my life I have felt shame about being adopted this has long passed and I am not looking for contact in order to turn lives upside down but if there is someone out there that can help me find my biological roots I would be eternally grateful. From the adoption papers I viewed as a child before they were destroyed my birth mothers name was Margaret Gardner‚ Gardener or perhaps Gardiner. It was a long time ago but the name itself sticks in my mind all these years later. Apparently she was 14 when she had me which would make her around 78 now. No information on father other than he was Swedish which funnily has come up in my DNA as well as a lot of Scottish from both parents. Parents‚ Siblings whoever. I would love to meet you.
527. Morgs88 : My Mum and Uncle (twins) born 10th April 1967 and were adopted in Brisbane Qld to a couple living on the Gold Coast.
I’m looking for any information on any birth relatives to my Mum
529. Jazzmin1978 : Mother is Claudette Susanne Benson nee Richardson born 7/11/1949
Father Barry Benson DOB unknown
Richard Paul Benson was born in Launceston Tasmania on April 3rd 1968
530. Jossie75 : I was born in Mackay‚ QLD to a very young mum (who I have met). I was placed with my adoptive parents immediately‚ although my adoption wasn’t finalised until February 1977.
I’m particularly interested in locating my birth father‚ or any other relatives beyond my birth mother and her children. My birth mother’s maiden name is Sidara.
531. Tanishalouise : I am searching on behalf of my dad for his birth parents.
He is a 50 year old male ( as of 2022) born 1st August 1972 (at least that is what we were told). Location of Hospital is royal Brisbane.
The only information known is the birth mother was young (teenage/early adult)
He was adopted to parents Kerry and Iris Woolacott
I would love to find my biological grandparents and my father his birth parents.
532. Mirakaipowell : Lily May Kempthorne is my great-great grandmother. I am looking for her records in hopes to find her bio parents. Ancestry states she was born in Moschito Island but that doesn’t seem to exist in Queensland. I understand It may be a long shot due to her being born so long ago‚ Im not sure how long records are kept for.
534. Manick : Meadowbrook Hospital
Mum has blonde hair‚ blue eyes‚ waitress‚ English/Danish heritage
Dad has blonde hair‚ blue eyes‚ chef‚ unknown heritage
Was born as Michael Shaun
536. AnnWilhelmsen1956 : I was born in Methesda birthing home. Birth mother was Iris Lucy Smith‚ she was 18 years of age when she gave birth in the year 1956. I don’t know My father’s name‚ I only know he was a salesman in 1956. My original birth name was Vicky Maree Smith. My birth mother does not want contact so now I am seeing if I have any siblings.
537. Ojay11 : Deborah Rogers was the single mother who lived around Kangaroo point around 1977 and 78 in a hostel. I was the father and was told later that the child was born and adopted out.
538. ReneeCherry : I am looking for my sisters Katherine and Lauren who are twins. They will have 2 older brothers Peter and James.
I am almost certain your names were changed‚ but were similar to the name our Mum chose. All 4 of you were adopted by the same family.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
