Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you
can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth
to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each
other on Adopted.com!
In Queensland, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to access identifying information from the
government, unless a veto preventing access has been submitted.
A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Queensland Who Chose To Be Featured
466. Diviine : I was born at Royal Womens Hospital in Brisbane. My birth mum was around 19 and the father was around 21. He had olive complexion and was tall and she had brown hair and green eyes and was short. He was an article clerk at the time. She was in business school. She named me Peta. He liked motorbike riding and she listed sewing as a hobby. She listed that she lived at the time in Wooloongabba in brisbane. There was something about german ancestry in the paperwork also.
467. KayleighF : Baby Dunn born at concord hospital 16 Aug 1957‚ son of Ronald Dunn born Ronald Wright 18 Sept 1939 (recently deceased).
Ronald has sisters that he told us were adopted‚ I believe Ronald may also of been adopted.
I am seeking this information as we are working on our family tree using ancestry dna and aren’t returning many matches to R.Dunn‚ the paternal grandfather.
468. Krystlemh : We are looking for the birth father of my dad‚ as well as the identity of his paternal grandmother.
My father was adopted in 1961. In trying to find his father‚ we have found his paternal grandfather named Richard Austin George Hides has had an illegitimate son sometime between 1934 and 1941 in QLD (lived in areas such as Cloncurry‚ Townsville‚ Brisbane)‚ who fathered my dad. Through other DNA contacts we believe it is possible that Rosaline (Bessie) Clegg - born 1916‚ could be the mother in this situation. She was married in 1937‚ however was estranged from her husband from 6months into the marriage‚ as he was in and out of gaol and then away in the army. She lived in Brisbane and Ipswich it appears‚ and could have had a secret child at this time.
My dad’s birth father may have been located in Cloncurry or Brisbane in the 1960s‚ where he met a nurse named Dawn Houston‚ who was dad’s birth mother (deceased).
469. TrevorSalmon : I was born in Townsville November 4th 1971. I only want answers‚ if my mum or dad don’t want contact that’s ok...but it would be amazing!
I was given to people with the last name Salmon. I believe I am indigenous but not sure.
471. Robynaldridge : I know that my birth mother is dead. That was sorted out through Jig-Saw in the 1990’s. However‚ I want to find out who my birth father is/was. My birth mother kept me for 4/12 but relinquished me when the Red Cross located her husband. (She had thought she was a widow seeing he was missing for 3 years.) However‚ her husband gave her the ultimatum that she was to get rid of me or else he wasn’t coming home. On my original birth certificate it is stated that my birth father was Scottish but there is no other information. At the time my birth father met my birth mother he was married and was in the navy. One now deceased aunt thinks his name may have been Jim Humphrey. When she met him she saw a wheel on his uniform sleeve. That has since been discovered that it related to the rank of a midshipman. Humphrey isn’t a Scottish name. I was born in a private hospital in inner Brisbane. I think the name started with a T but I don’t have the reference with me at present so I can’t check the name. My birth mother was Olga Beryl Chadwick‚ nee Pulsford. I was welcomed into the family by her Pulsford siblings who were alive at the time. Olga’s best friend has also died but I met her sister who told me that she thought her b-i-l was my father! My aunts disagreed with this thinking but I’d really like to know one way or another.
473. Silliwpike : I am searching for my father’s birth parents. As far as I am aware‚ my dad (Adam) was adopted in Brisbane‚ QLD. He was adopted by two very loving and proud parents‚ Judith and Trevor Pike‚ who resided in Townsville at the time.
Recalling old adoption records‚ now unbeknownst to me‚ his birth mother lived in Highgate Hill. Her family owned a laundry service within the area. His birth father worked within a governmental department and was quite the athlete in archery.
475. Misslizzie : My birth mother’s name was Betty Ann Norris formerly Nicol. She named me Jan. I saw in your search a Marjorie Agatha Norris & thought there may have been a connection
My father’s name was not registered. My mother was 37yrs old when I was born as I am 67 yrs old it is unlikely that she would still be alive...but to meet a sibling would be amazing.
476. LaureenV : Baby girl born at Brisbane hospital
? Royal Brisbane Mothers
Possible Birth name Theresa (or Teresa) Michelle
Possible Birth surname Euler or O’Sullivan

I am her Aunt and would love to locate her.
477. Nedkelly1899 : Exact birthdate not known. Mother was Deborah Rogers who lived in Kangaroo point‚ Brissie and was born either 1978 or early 79. I was the father (Owen)
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
