Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you
can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth

other on Adopted.com!
In Queensland, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to access identifying information from the
government, unless a veto preventing access has been submitted.

494. Vicessimus : My uncle‚ Mervyn Leslie St Clair of Brisbane‚ conducted a relationship (or was possibly married to) Margaret Joan Hansen and they had a son‚ Noel John around 1948-9. Margaret convinced Mervyn to adopt the child out. After he signed the papers his family were furious that they had lost all contact with him. It has been a mystery what has happened to him and I’m hoping to find out.
