I was adopted through the Children’s Department to my adoted parents Wallace Kingsford Naumann (now deceased) and Joan Daphne Naumann (nee Klein).

I have a letter from the Department of Children’s Services, "Harris Court" Cnr George and Margaret Streets, Brisbane. Dated 14th November 1967. The reference number of the letter is 25109ACRGW.
The letter addressed to Mr and Mrs WK Naumann, Barakee, Back Plains, Via Clifton 4361 says ....
Dear Mr and Mrs Naumann, Re: Adoption of Tricia Leigh Naumann. With reference to your application to adopt a child, it is advised that an Adoption Order with respect to the abovenamed child was issued on 13.10.67 and filed in accordance with the provisions of "The Adoption of Children Acts, 1964 to 1967" and regulations made thereunder. A memorandum of the adoption has been forwarded to the Registrar General, who has duly registered the adoption and issued and attached Short Extract of Birth. Please acknowledge receipt of this document by signing the duplicate of this memo and returning same to this Department. Also enclosed are chest x-ray cards. Yours faithfully, G White for Director.
