My adopted grandmother was sisters with Ada Helen Minyard. So my adoption was an intra-adoption. My family is primarily French and creek Indian. My great‚ great great great grandparents were James and Sally Carpenter. They gave birth to Owen Minyard‚ who was married to charity carpenter and my great great grandparents are Angus Minyard and Hattie Carpenter. I am looking for relatives on either my Minyard side or the Tidwell side. I can trace the Minyard side all the way back to John Minyard who was a French pioneer. But I know very little about my Tidwell background.
